I thought it would be larger. It actually weighed .74 ounces and was about the size of a quarter. Packaging was very deceiving. The putty would have fit in a soda bottle cap! I haven't used it yet. I am actually afraid to. It's quite expensive to just throw in the water and lose!!

Among the product details it indicates that the product weighs 4 ounces. The actual tungsten putty included in my purchase was only .7 of an ounce. I even weighed the whole item – container and putty – and that only came to 1.1 ounce, a far cry from the expected 4 ounces. I was very disappointed to say the least.As a product, the tungsten putty is what I expected in terms of its functionality, which is the only reason I haven't given it a 1 star rating.

I pinch off what I think I need and the make into an oval and squeeze the tungsten onto the leader. when done I put it back in the container. The lid is tight and some what are to open. One time I did lose the small tungsten that was on my leader bouncing along the bottom of the river. Never had an issue with it coming off my leader while casting.

i use this to cover over one small split shot. I found this was the only way to keep it on line in place

Perfect tungsten putty --- heavy and sticky -- arrived quickly ... a great purchase
