work good, fish didn't starve. easy to use
These work good. Used 1 for over the long weekend. My fish took right to it easily, so I was able to go away without worrying about them starving.Follow the directions, I put a whole tab in, but really should have only put a half of one.Good value for the cost. Definitely buy again!

KILLED FISH! ZERO STARS!
Total POS product. After an 8 day vacation I came home to a cloudy tank, a thick layer of disintegrated debris on the bottom of my tank, and a DEAD angel fish!!! This is an established tank with 2 happy healthy angelfish and a small group of glow fish that hasn’t had any problem in the last 2+ years. I’m soooooo pissed at myself and this vacation feeder that killed my fish

Did work as a long weekend feeder
I was pleased when I returned home after a 4-day trip using this product for my 2 aquariums and all my fish are healthy and active. I didn't notice a smell like some of the reviewers experienced, but my tanks were cloudy. It was a milky cloudy (not murky brown like others have experienced), but I could still see all the fish and plants. I did a water change that night and there is still some remaining cloudiness today, but I will do another water change tomorrow and hopefully, it will be back to crystal clear again.Interesting to note that there was still quite a bit of the food blocks left. I could see there were bits eaten, but I think I could have probably used about half of a block between the two tanks as opposed to the full block I split between the two.

I ALWAYS have these around!
We travel often and I am sure to keep these on hand. We have Angel Fish, African Dwarf Frogs, Pleco's and a few other community fish. One of these disks lasts about 5 days in my tank. If we plan on being gone longer, we are sure to leave 2 disks in the tank. We have been gone for 11 days before, leaving 2 disks in a 55 gallon tank, and have come home to chunks of the disk's left in the bottom of the tank. Simply scoop out what's left over and toss out, then continue feedings as usual. This food is compressed in a tank safe gel and slowly dissolves, giving your fish the nutrients they need. If you have bottom feeders, they are quick to find the disks and work the food out themselves, helping the process. From my experience, this does NOT make the disks dissolve any faster so no need to add more with bottom feeders. Be sure to remove the disk entirely from the package. Don't leave it in the plastic cup after removing the lid. REMOVE IT FROM THE CUP ENTIRELY and drop the disk in the tank as far from the filter as possible.

The metal container isn't designed well.
The fish seemed to like it well enough - after I had to take the food out of the metal feeder. They apparently couldn't get it out of the container. I double checked to see if there was some film I needed to peel off the top of the feeder, but couldn't find one. They barely got any food out of it until I dug the food out of the container and just plopped it into the water without the container.
