Regular scissors work great. My first time trying the thinning scissors (boys haircuts) and it's pretty cool...no more cutting lines visible. The gown is useless for little kids but that's fine. I'm not really sure what the little medallion thing with teeth is. Best guess is maybe use it under a cloth to clean the thinning scissors?

I have been cutting hair for my husband for 15 years now. I wanted a professional set of scissors that I could use to trim as well as thin and style his hair with. Love this product. Been using it for past 2 years now. Still very sharp. Cuts great. The hold is very comfortable for the thumb. Doesn’t hurt. Comes in a neat little storage packet. Every item has its own slot to stay organized and can neatly be put away.

I bought these 2 years ago and use them on my son's and my hair as well as my husbands beard!!! They are very sharp still, fits in my hand perfectly and they store in the case that they come in, making them very accessible. My son has chosen many different styles over this time and after watching online videos as guides this set has been invaluable in helping to achieve those looks ( or something similar, i'm not the best at hairdressing) as they give a strong clear cut. They are easy to clean and don't feel heavy in my hand at all while using them.

The set is very nice and sharp but my thinking scissors seem bend. They won't cut and when I loosen them it still won't work. The rest of the set is great though.

I'm a father that's been cutting his 2 sons hair for a several years and always just used my clippers to style and cut. cheap - looked used...case is poor quality - glue to seal case looked like it had been done by a child... not happy with this....dont bother.
