Incredible! Hard to follow manual thiugh
This little thing is absolutely incredible. If I can find a use for it will be buying the higher end one too that can emulate thermocouples. The manual is helpful if you are REALLY good at reading manuals. Otherwise, there are loads of YouTube videos online. I really realized how good this thing is when I was using a $4k fluke process meter to calibrate it. I could only get the calibration to 0.005, but I’m fine with that. The big thing is this can put out an actual 24vdc (even up to 25vdc!) and the $4k process meter can only do ~20vdc. I had to set up a 24v power supply (measured to 24v exact) to calibrate that input. The 0-20mA is just as good!

Awesome to monitor and inject simultaneously
It's great to be able to see what the customer is actually sending AND inject the correct signal simultaneously.

Many Features, Difficult User Interface
It works as described. The rechargeable battery is fairly large, so the device runs a long time. Everything you need to use it is in the box.Like many electronics, they've added more features than most people need, which complicates the useability of the SG-003A device. The manual describes the features, but not how to actually use the product. I've used it for a day, and figured out what I needed to make it work. I wanted a 4 to 20 milliamp generator, and it does that. The mA output tends to be a bit low (20 mA out is about 19.8 actual). The "FN" button is important. Out of the box, the device booted up in trend mode ("Curve" mode). FN, then Curve toggles the display between trend mode and character mode. Character mode is simpler.

Precision Power
When it comes to testing electronic circuits or troubleshooting electrical systems, having a reliable and precise current signal generator is essential. Enter the Current Signal Generator—an indispensable tool that met my expectations. This unit allows you to supply a signal and test a sensor simultaneously.

Works great for 4-20 instrumentation
Got this for work.. Took a few to figure out the settings, but once that hurdle was crossed it works good.

Button labels and functiond were not clear to me
Returned. It was not worth the effort to figure it out, and I make my living figuring things like this out. I have used many simulators over my career, and when I had given up on this one, I borrowed one that was another brand, which I had never used before, and it worked intuitively.Might just be a poor translation of the buttons labels and manuals from whatever language was used to develop it.I really wanted it to work.

Great Signal Generator
Easy to use - the only thing nice would be if there would be a bag... I packed it back into the box until I need it again....

Works great with minor issues
Overall a very useful piece of test equipment with a few minor issues.Readings for analog inputs and outputs were very close to much more expensive test equipment we have at work. Good enough for my purposes.I love the rechargeable battery vs swapping alkalines, it charges fast and lasts a long time. The documentation isn't great so it takes a minute to figure out how to wire it. Same goes for the menu system. My unit had a couple of typos in the on screen text. I also couldn't figure out how to update the firmware. I'm not counting on a lot of support for something like this and it works fine as is, so I'm not worried about it.
