The best water bottle I've ever owned. Seriously.
This is the absolute best water bottle I have ever owned. Happened upon one in the thrift store, and was stunned at how long it kept my drink cold on a scorching hot day (freezing cold, with ice still in it, 24 hours later). Made of sturdy materials, which is great, because it gets used a LOT. Love the spout - I hate cleaning the straws and the tops with tiny holes, and feel like there is place for ick to grow in them - but I feel like when I wash this, it's CLEAN. It's the right size (24 oz) for me, and easy to carry with the handle, even when I am also carrying a camp chair, a camera bag, a food cooler and all the rest of the detritus you bring with you to youth sports games. Seal is excellent - it could be knocked on the ground at a baseball game by a 70 mph fastball and not lose the seal (do not ask how I know this). The silicone seal does not seem to degrade with repeated washing, either - the thrift store one is from 3 years ago (and who knows how much longer it was used before that) and still going strong. I loved the thrift store purchase so much, I did the research and found the same model online (albeit a new, different color), and could not believe they were so on sale (19.99, I think). A true bargain. And now mine won't get stolen by my kid every time I put it down - we'll each have our own. I'm gonna buy one for my mom and husband, too. Seriously - this is one of the few products in life that you will like even better than you thought you would.

Favorite water bottle
This is my second one of this water bottle - someone stole my first one! It keeps my water ice cold and never leaks. For those who like bottles without straws, the screw top is ideal. Easy to clean, too. Fits in my Bronco perfectly when the rubber boot is taken off. Carry handle is great for people like me, who tend to drop their stuff.

Best Water Bottle I’ve Ever Owned – Durable, Leak-Proof, and Keeps Drinks Cold All Day!
I absolutely love my Takeya Actives Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle! I’ve gone through so many water bottles over the years, but this one stands out above the rest. The quality is incredible—it's super sturdy, doesn’t dent easily, and the double-wall insulation keeps my water ice-cold for hours, even on hot days. The spout lid is one of my favorite features. It’s completely leak-proof, easy to drink from, and the wide mouth makes it simple to add ice or clean. Plus, the handle is strong and convenient for carrying on the go. I also love the sleek, matte finish—it looks great and doesn’t get slippery when wet. Whether I’m at the gym, hiking, or just running errands, this bottle goes everywhere with me. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a reliable, high-quality water bottle that actually does what it promises! Note: This is my second water bottle of this exact brand and style in 6 years. I replaced the first one because the plastic seal for the lid developed some black marks on it. I wanted to be safe and decided to upgrade the whole water bottle instead of searching for a new plastic seal.

Best bottle so far
Bought the watermelon red one and it’s been my favorite so far! I have an older Hydroflask but it’s a standard bottle screw top with semi wide bottle opening and had to be sipped carefully especially if I’m driving. The Takeya has a great heft and rubber bumper that won’t dent as easily like my Hydro did. The handle is substantial and easily hooks anywhere. The lid and bottle opening is large and can fit many ice shapes but with the smaller spout that is the perfect size for a smooth sip without worrying about spilling while driving. What really sold me is that I can buy replacement O-ring gaskets when they inevitably develop mold. Should be much easier to clean in the long term vs other bottles with straws and such

No Rust!
Quality water bottle. Have used for several years and so far no rust as we have experienced with other brands. Easy to clean. Keeps water cold.

A pain to clean, but thoughtful design
The bottle is surprisingly lightweight for the amount of time it can keep water cold; I have found about six hours in my experience at room temperature, and about four hours in summer weather. The bottle feels good quality, and I like the thoughtful design of the rubber bump on attached to the bottom to prevent scratches and dings from sitting it down. The lid’s screw on design prevents spills, which I find to be very useful in day to day life, along with the handle, which is very comfortable to carry. Now onto the issues— it does not fare well in the dishwasher, and parts of the lid will deform if you put it in there (YMMV). Rather, I have hand washed mine which can be a pain, as you have to remove the rubber gasket from the lid and then use a bottle brush. This alone makes me choose my other bottles such as a 16oz Yeti instead when out and about. However, for the value of this bottle and the amount of water it can hold, it could be a good gift — as long as you know what you’re getting into.

Love it!
This has been a nice water bottle to use. I needed a water bottle that was easy to carry around, and this bottle's handle make it easy for me to not accidentally leave it behind somewhere. The ability to able to hold it with a few fingers is especially useful to me. The cap is easy for me to unscrew, and I have had no troubles drinking from the spout. I haven't tried putting any warm or hot drinks, but my cold drinks stayed nice and cold for hours. I haven't had any leaks from the bottle when holding it sideways. I've only had one tiny leak, and it was because I had overfilled the bottle, but never had any leaks overwise. It has survived some falls thanks to the rubber part on the bottom, so I's say this bottle has had good value for the money I spent.

No leaking, and your ice cubes will still be frozen tomorrow -- but these are *not* unbreakable
We bought some of these based on a Wirecutter review, and I was really impressed. Cold water with a lot of ice stayed ice-cold all day. The ice was still cold at the end of the day, or in the morning if I filled the bottle with ice water and set it on my bedside table to sip overnight. After graduating from 14-oz and 18-oz bottles, my kid now takes one of these bottles in her school bag every day. If we put in too much ice on a cool day, the ice will stay so cold that it accumulates into a large chunk. It stays that cold! On hot days, we fill these bottles with more ice, and that helps keep everything cold even while this bottle sits in the direct sun at the beach or a park. The lids are dishwasher safe, and the small white gaskets inside the lid and the spout lid are seated pretty well, but we did lose one gasket. You can buy replacement gaskets directly from Takeya (they also run regular deals on these bottles, but in this instance I found them cheaper on Amazon and needed them really quickly). They have two different gasket styles; the better and I think newer ones have a small circular tab (almost a loop) that does double duty in helping you insert/remove the gasket and also seems to keep the gasket seated better. I say that because the one we lost did not have the tab. I check our gaskets regularly and they seem to be quite impervious to mold. I pull them out every 4-6 months to inspect and clean them, and they are always fine with no visible signs of mold. The one con to the bottles is that they get dented when you drop them. If you have a kid who swings their bottle around (and who wouldn't want to do that with the really great loop integrated into the lid of this bottle?), over time the bottom will reshape itself from flat to curved. Eventually my kid dropped the bottle or bashed it into one too many hard surfaces, and one of the dents broke full through. Then the outside of the bottle had a hole in it. The inside was still fine, but after hand washing the bottle, there was water inside the lining, and I don't want to risk that becoming a moldy mess. That's why I needed to replace a bottle. We had our bottle for about a year and a half before the r outside split. That's an expensive habit, so now I am making sure my kid keeps the bumper on the bottom -- and refrains from swinging the bottle around so much. We love our Takeya bottles! I liked their performance so much that I bought two for myself and rotate their use daily. Since we only put water in them, I put the lids in the dishwasher every day or every other day, and leave the bottles to dry in our dish rack nightly. I hand wash them with dish soap and a brush a few times a week. The only spot you have to be careful to catch is under the stainless steel rim below the lid, which is a narrow channel that can harbor some sand or dirt (and other gross stuff). The one on the left in the photo has been used for about 18 months, and the one on the right is brand new. I made large name labels for all of them with permanent vinyl, which you can see in the older bottle has scratched off in some places. I believe I re-applied the label on the left in the last six months, so keep in mind that Cricut "permanent" vinyl is not going to last forever on a curved surface like this that gets used and banged around every day.
