It's copper wire and conducts electrons

I bought the 32 AWG Magnet Wire 4 oz spool. I am an electrical design engineer, so I use quite a lot of this. Great wire, enamel scratches off nicely, solders nicely, not prone to breaking, BUT when I reached for this 4oz spool in my parts kit, one end of the spool had broken off, and I suddenly had this bird's nest pile of 32 gauge wire--yuck! It looked to me like they crammed too much wire on the the spool. I chucked it and reordered the 2oz spool. I highly recommend this wire, but buy the 2oz spool.

Enameled wire has significantly improved my electronics repair workflow. Its ease of use, reliable performance, and suitability for intricate soldering tasks make it a must-have for hobbyists and professionals alike. Highly recommended for anyone looking to achieve clean, efficient, and lasting connections in their electronic projects!

I've used this to jump points for missing or broken connections, pins, and the like for a few different laptop, and several console repairs and modifications. Was initially unsure of how hard it would be to tin this wire, but it's actually been a breeze. I've been able to simply hold a bead of solder to the end of the wire for a few seconds, letting the enamel burn off and be replaced by fresh solder. The 32awg wire is thin enough, and yet flexibly rigid enough, that I've soldered one end to the necessary pad, and then taped the wire down to the board along the path to the connector with a broken or missing pad, flush-cut to needed length, tinned/exposed about 2-4mm on the end, and bent into place with micro tweezers. Being able to use this wire as the physical pin replacement has saved fully replacing a SMD connector a few times. Will definitely be ordering more when the time comes.
