Even though this is just simple bicarbonate of soda, it is reliable and easy to use, worth it completely for the convenience. I can't live without this stuff. I will say, the product doesn't taste as pleasant as it used to. They have reduced the lemon-lime flavoring or something. That's too bad. I can't find this (without the aspirin) in my store, so I have to buy it online, and I will continue to do so.

Heartburn creeps up on me at night sometimes and this seems to be the most effective over the counter product I can find for calming that down (better than Tums, for me, anyway). It works pretty much immediately and has a reasonably pleasant taste (a little chalky, a little lemon-limey). For the price, it's a very worthwhile thing to keep stocked in your medicine cabinet. I've heard that Alka-Seltzer can also be a good hangover remedy. I don't know if that's true, but I imagine it would help with the acid reflux/sour stomach elements.
