The hinges are very robust and can be drilled to suit the fixing position. If fitted to hang the door vertically the bolt has a solid head at the top. I have given it a four star rating as the the swivel pins are the exact length of the two piece hinge. The job required it to be fitted horizontally, but as the pin had no overhang to enable a small hole to be drilled in the end to put a pin through the shaft to stop it from vibrating out, I had to make a replacement pin. Another 5mm on the pin length would have been ideal.

Purchased for a metal project so going to be welded to work. The two parts of the hinge are not drilled but solid. Each hinge is made up of three parts 2 plates for fixing to the frame and the item to be opened and an 8 mm pin. Simple but work
