The 6" Shower Arm Extension was perfect. Very heavy duty, precision made. The extra length on the collar is genius - it made it look professional, like it was part of the shower head unit. I bought a house and the shower head was a combination rain-shower and hand-held shower, but it did not work well. So I replaced it with a new Water-pick hand-held shower that had a much more powerful spray, but this one became too high for one of us to reach. I got a quote from a plumber to move the shower head location down, but this was going to be very expensive. I looked at home supply stores and plumbing supply stores, but none had an extender pipe to fit the pipe coming out the wall. THEN, I discovered this extender pipe on Amazon, and it works GREAT. It was easy to install in about 15 minutes using a little teflon tape, and it brings the hand-held shower down to a better height.

I purchased a shower head and hand held with 108 inch stainless hose. All of those work very good. However the 3 way diverter, where you turn from shower head to hand held or both and where you hang the hand held, could not be reached by my wife. The shower arm that comes out of the wall was high and short. I should have realized when I installed everything. So I purchased this shower arm extension. Installation was easy and straight forward. Just took off what I put on, attached this extension, which made accessing the 3 way diverter much easier, as when I re-attached everything again, all was 6 inches lower and all works great.

I liked the product because it extended the shower out and down. My old hand held fit into the arm just below the shower head and the new one fits into the arm at the bottom of the handle, which made it 5 inches higher. Though the new extension is 6 inches long, because of the angle of the shower arm it really is only about 4.5 inches lower and the same extra distance from the wall.

I am quite pleased with the extension pieces, have installed one of the two [am waiting on the other until I purchase a new shower head for it]. The arm feels quite solid and I am impressed that the design was thought through enough that on the female end there is a non-threaded portion that hides the male threads on the arm protruding from the wall. A mentioned in another review, the arm has a small metal flow restrictor embedded in the washer. That was easy to knock out - I took a ~7" length of 3/8" dowling, ground down 1/2" at one end so that it just passed through the restrictor, set the other end of the dowling on a hard surface and tapped the "top" end with a rubber mallet.

This item was perfect. Exactly what I was looking for. This item allowed us to install a shower massage shower head in our mobile home shower stall. The shower head would not fit due to a 3” lip between the wall and the inside of the shower. This item gave the extra length that we needed. This item is made of strong heavy gauge metal finished in beautiful chrome. This is the only item like this I have found anywhere. I originally installed our shower head using an extension I made from pvc, which was ugly and eventually broke. At first I hesitated about buying this item because of the price. But, I’m glad I did. Now our shower is beautiful and fixed right.

We purchased a new shower head, a Kohler with a detachable handheld spray wand, for our master bath's shower cubicle, but the handle and hose would not fit due to the shower caddy we are using (which we absolutely need due to the shower cubicle having no shelves for things like shampoo and body wash). This extension fit the bill perfectly, extending the shower head out enough that it cleared the caddy easily. An adjustable wrench and some thread sealing tape were all that was needed; took less than five minutes (if that). What can I say, it Just Works (the highest compliment you can give a product, IMHO).

This is a very hard-to-find item. I needed it to install a tall massage shower head. I had a new bathroom built in an old home. There was not enough room for the shower head to be aimed towards the back of the bathtub. The extension is very well made of polished chrome, almost a work of art. It arrived in a small box inside another box filled with bubble wrap. There is no chance of damage during shipping. The extension fit perfectly and allowed me to aim the shower head the way I wanted it. As a piece of information, I found out later from online tutorials that your standard shower arm can be unscrewed from the pipe behind the shower stall. That’s right, the shower arm in everyone’s shower is threaded. Even knowing this, I prefer the extension route. I did not want to take a chance on a leak behind the wall. I did not notice any decrease in water pressure that some people reported. My complements to High Sierra for a quality product.

Sturdy and really simple to install. I had trouble reaching the shower head which was so high, but no more! This shower arm extends six inches so you just have to make sure the shower stall is not so small that the shower head would then be close to the opposite wall or door. Otherwise, a terrific solution for lowering the height of a shower head.

Superb quality of the product, thick and study stainless steel, and it’s definitely a hard to find item in the local hardware store. My shower arm is short and placed to high up to the ceiling, and so most of the hand held shower head would literally hit the ceiling. Need this extender to have a lower placement. Only downside is it’s pricing - a little expensive in my opinion.

When we had our bathroom renovated, it looked great but the shower was way too high, like 7 feet. I tried to find an extender at Lowe’s and Home Depot but no luck, so I ordered this 6” chrome extender on Amazon. It was delivered the next day, it was easy to install, it’s solid and it looks great! Best of all we can now reach the handheld shower. 🙂
