I always preferred corded tools. To me, battery powered tools were weaklings. I mean, why have to worry about a battery dying or worse ALL of the batteries dying and then you can't even do the job that a simple 70's tool could have easily done. I mean what is it with this new technology crap! Am I right? Well, no, I was wrong. I was very, very wrong. These things are great, like real game changers! The power, the convenience! Seriously, use one of these things and you will be elevated to a higher plane of existence. You will immediately question why you didn't get one of these before. And then you'll remember the price tag. But then you'll remember that that is in the past and now you own these little gems. You'll smile. If you have used modern cordless tools before then all I can say is that these are very high quality. The weight is good. The size is good. The power is plentiful. The features are good. I particularly like the little LED lights that illuminate the work area. Really, you can't go wrong. If you've never used cordless tools, here's a little guide. Get two batteries. Yes they are very expensive, moreso than the tool itself, but I view these as a luxury item anyway. Will the situation arise where you don't have a charged battery or maybe they get so old that the battery doesn't last. I'm sure you will. But technically this IS avoidable if you are careful and frankly for all of the orgasmic pleasure of working with these things, it's totally worth it. If you are thinking that you might want one from a different manufacturer, maybe because you already have tools from them. That's fine, but I wouldn't let it worry you. You really don't have to stay in one ecosystem. I have a Milwaukee track saw and I love it too. It just seemed like a better saw than the Dewault, so I went with it and really it's no problem. They even make adapters if you want to swap batteries between brands. This could even be an advantage, giving you multiple options for power and different perspectives on which brand you prefer. But seriously, why have an inferior saw or drill or something, just because you have one great angle grinder or something? I have only had these for a few months since I started renovating my house and they have just been great. Having the drill and the driver is perfect. I can drill the hole with one and immediately drive the screw in with the other. The batteries last a long time and I haven't yet once had a problem with a battery dying (they are new, though). And the disadvantage of corded tools is not having a wall socket close enough and of course tripping over it. If you are worried about the quality. Don't they are great. Choosing between brands is really kind of a 1st world problem. It comes down to features I guess. I'm sure Milwaukee or some other brand is great too. I just can't comment on them, since I have these, but I don't regret the decision at all.

They’ve gone up since I bought them, but the tools and batteries are still a pretty good value and are some of Dewalts most compact tools. The drill isn’t super torquey or anything, but it gets the job done. The impact is incredibly good super small, but one of their most powerful impacts.

I was somewhat leery about buying drills on Amazon because of all the negative reviews that come with cheaper prices, but it seems that this was a legit buy...the drills were new and not like reject models...some of the shops on Amazon definitely are scams offering Milwaukee drills for $150 or something, and $279 was about right but definitely cheaper than box stores...and also I am happy to have the drills and they work way better and have plenty of torque! Yes I am proud to have a Dewalt..the only thing is the weight...these batteries are heavy!

I have used and abused these heck out of these tools and their predecessors in Dewalt's lineup for close to a decade now, at home and in the trades thus I can safely say whether you are an DiY'er, starting out in the trades or an existing tradesman, the Dewalt DCK2050M2 hammer drill/impact driver combo kit is one of Dewalt's best valued and best combined kit's with the best pound for pound ( size/weight/performance) hammer drill/impact tools on the market and arguably the only hammer drill/impact drivers you will ever need. If you can afford it you should buy 2 of these kits since you need ( regardless of tool brand ) 4 batteries for continues use throughout the day ( always one in charge and one in use ) and keep a set of the tools at home and at the shop/onsite or at the cabin.

I thought this kit price was too good to be true given no other Dewalt Kit comes even close to this type of savings. These parts individual are about $400 I was half expecting to receive used equipment or worse, but took the chance. Wow.. yes, NEW in box legit kit at insane low price. There are older model kits with smaller batteries that cost more than this so this is a no brainer. Scratching my head why they are selling this kit this cheap, but happy to report it's legit. It can get confusing but ... know that these are not old models, these are as of 2023 flagship best of best models 805 and 850. latest and greatest XR brushless models and have received HUGE positive reviews for much higher torque/power .

Honestly, I think DeWalt should put more attention on their brushless models when they do big sales. They need to get these newer models in people's hands, because when people see these on the job they instantly want one. This kit costs a little bit more than the brushed moter combo kit due to how light-weight, high efficiency and long-lasting these tools are. You see, the motors in these don't have brushes on the inside, and therefore don't make direct electrical contact with the core of the motor, and yet somehow the end product has even more torque and longevity.

Very good quality for the price, come in good condition, batteries are brand new from 2023 and come with dielectric grease on the terminals drills are made in Mexico and batteries are from Malaysia and assembled in Mexico. I don't know if this batteries are genuine or not because y never seen before this circuit on DeWalt batteries but looks very well made.
