The GOAT of keychain knives
What else is there to say? Maybe the greatest keychain multi tool ever made, and an excellent choice for EDC in general. A multi tool’s value is dependent on having it on your person when needed, and there is nothing easier to carry than the Rambler. It’s smaller than I thought, but every tool is functional and they are the ones most people are most likely to need. Scissors are tiny but have Victorinox’s usual excellent fit and finish, and between them and the file they are perfectly sufficient to fix your nails on the go. Knife blade is likewise tiny, but sharp and plenty large enough to slice open boxes and packages. Tweezers and toothpick are same full size that come on 91mm Swiss Army Knives. Philips screwdriver is well made and works, but I wouldn’t go trying to push it too hard. As for the small flathead on the end of the file, I would have liked if they had made it either large enough to use on full size slotted screws, or small enough to use on eyeglass screws, but it should still work on some small fasteners in a pinch, and can double as a fingernail cleaner. Considering I can open a bottle with just about any flat hard object, the bottle opener is the tool I am least likely to ever use, but it is integrated into the phillips screwdriver and therefore not taking up space unnecessarily.Seeing how small this thing is, I realized that a 91mm SAK, provided its not too thick and chunky, would not be too large to hang on my keychain, but Victorinox has yet to make one with a tool set as perfect for EDC as this one. My ideal 91mm keychain SAK would have: knife, scissors, coarse/fine file, phillips driver and flathead driver, with tweezers, toothpick, and a pen contained in the scales. If they could find room somewhere for an eyeglass screwdriver that would be a bonus. Until they make my perfect keychain SAK, the Rambler is as close as it gets. It has almost everything you need and nothing you don’t.

Wow!
When this arrived, I was wowed at how tiny the box was that it came in. I knew it was going to be small, but my goodness, this thing is cute! While this is super cute, it is quite handy and I love it. It is small and unassuming. Anyone can pull this out and people are not threatened by the smallness of the knife and they are familiar with the brand enough to see it as a tool. This comes with a great setup of handy tools that can be used every day in nearly all environments.*The little knife is quite tiny, but is very sharp and useful. It is perfect for most every day tasks, such as opening packages.*The file tool can be used in, at least, three different ways. Of course you can use the file in a handful of ways itself, whether evening out whittling marks or using it to file nails. The tip can be used as a screwdriver, to clean under your nails, or, my main use-case for this tool, to pull staples out of things (it’s good for light prying).*The Phillips head screw driver is awesome! It is tiny, but works on things you wouldn’t expect it to be large enough to fit (I tightened up the regular-sized screws on my doorknob today and it worked like a charm). It is also magnetic, which just makes this thing that much more awesome. This tool has a wire stripper and a cap lifter, too, and they’re nice to have in the off-change I might use them, especially if not taking up more space, but I don’t know that I’ll ever actually use either.*The scissors are small and sharp and easy to use. They are very springy and cut effortlessly. They are perfect for normal, every day uses, such as cutting tags, snipping loose strings, etc.*The toothpick is self stated, but can be used for other life hack type things, I’ve seen. I might use this in a toothpick emergency, but it wouldn't be something I’d find myself habitually using.*The tweezers can come in handy for a great number of tasks, such as plucking the stray hair, removing a splinter, or even removing a tick if such an event were to occur.Overall, this knife is super tiny and packs a powerful punch. I think this is about the perfect every day carry sort of tool. I do like a dedicated, locking knife for a handful of other tasks, but for 90% of my uses, this little guy is a gem. You slide it in your pocket or purse and it easily disappears and is not intimidating, yet is very useful, when pulled out. I highly recommend this and find that everyone could benefit from one of these.

The best tiny Swiss Army Knife. Everything you actually need, nothing you don't.
I have carried a Victorinox Rambler as my primary EDC knife for at least 20 years, because it has all the tools I actually need on a frequent basis, and nothing I don't actually need. It is small enough that it is legal virtually anywhere outside an airport security zone or a courthouse, and it doesn't frighten people when you take it out. I have noticed over the years that people's reactions to pocket knives have gone from being expected of an adult to carry to extreme terror at the sight of one, so the Rambler is always the knife I reach for first, so I don't need to take out my normal-sized pocket knife.I ordered myself a new Rambler and had it drop-shipped to my destination, because I was taking an airline flight without checked baggage for the first time in my life. In the past, I have always checked at least one bag just so that I could bring my knives, but checked baggage fees for a round-trip flight have become more expensive than simply having a knife shipped to my destination and leaving it behind for the next trip, or giving it away as a gift before I depart.Whenever anyone is looking for a new knife, the Rambler is always going to be my first recommendation. Penknife, scissors, bottle opener, flat and Phillips drivers, tweezers, toothpick. The only thing that could make the Rambler better is if they offered it in Alox and other colors. Despite the fact that so many people have picked up on the fact that the Rambler has the most bang for the buck, Victorinox still doesn't make the Rambler in any color other than Red.

Quality compact EDC
Fantastic Swiss quality and the size is a lot smaller than i thought. It’s the same size as my Olight imini 2. Can’t go wrong with this for a EDC

Great Swiss army knife
Since they retired the manager, the rambler is the best in the 58mm line (the mini champ might be a close second). Highly functional, useful in many situations. Blade is sharp and you can't beat the value for the money. Would be a great gift present for a person that doesn't think they would use a multi tool.
