My 11 son wanted to be this for Halloween. Everyone kept asking him for a picture ! He scared a couple of kids and shockingly , jumped some adults. He loved it and I enjoyed it. He’s 11 , so the gown stopped at his ankles for size reference. He’s about 4’11/5 ft and wear size 12/14 year old clothes . The longer the gown, the more spooky it appears. The straps that goes under his shoulders to keep the keep above his head hurt him a bit but he undid the straps and it still stay up perfectly fine. Straps is not 100% needed . All the pics above is without the straps and it still stayed upright even when moving around. FYI , I saw some of the reviews says that the coat is plastic but it definitely isn’t . I used the steamer to get all the creases out so he can wear it with a smooth finish . If it was plastic , it definitely would have melted or gotten damage. The coat is more of a cheap polyester material but not plastic . Great for an evening of trick or treating or whatever it’s needed for short period. He’s not wearing it like his school uniform if you get me . Lol

They shipped me an entire box of these costumes when I only ordered 1. Besides that, the costume is horrible. We couldn’t find a comfortable way to put the shoulder piece on. The straps that go under your arms to hold the plastic shoulder piece were way too tight and my son isn’t a big person. We couldn’t figure out how to put it on without it being extremely uncomfortable for him. There’s no way he could have walked around trick or treating with it on. The dress part was way too long for him and made from a cheap-feeling material. My son liked the idea of the costume but that’s it. It is a cool idea, but for the price it should be better quality. I sent it back, along with all the extra ones I didn’t order.

Best costume award! I did his makeup and he sold it! We modified the top by putting it on his chest protector for motor cross. This made the costume comfortable for the long run. Without the modification, the shoulder anchors would be very uncomfortable. My kiddo is 5' and slender, this fit him very well. If he was much taller, it would be too short.

Wish they had different skin tones to choose from & piece came already broken. A small piece but was important for the Velcro to attach

Cute concept but didn't quite work out the way we had hoped. The shoulder pieces kept sliding to the side. My son wore it for about 5 minutes to decide if he wanted to keep it and it was a no. The quality is not great very cheap. Not a good value. Didn't come with the knife. Very light weight material very thin. Could have been great but its a fail.

My son begged to get this costume for Halloween and it was a huge hit with everyone who saw him wear it. Adults and kids would stop him and want to see his costume. Although it says it is a child size, we had to pin up about 6 inches of fabric from the bottom and arms so that he could walk and use his hands (he's a VERY tall 6yo). The bad part is that he didn't want to wear it very long because it is so cumbersome. The thin plastic/vinyl jacket is very lightweight but the contraption that is used to hold the plastic neck piece above the head is flimsy and uncomfortable. It is two thick, sorta heavy plastic stilt looking pieces that rest on each shoulder and the plastic neck piece connects to the stilts. After about 5 minutes, my son wanted to take it off because it was heavy or would fall over and lay on the back of his head. Overall, it was a very cute idea, but we would not order again. This item costs too much for the limited amount of time that my son was actually able to wear it. Not a great value. If it were somehow made to be more comfortable, this would be a great costume.

Good for the $. I put it on my son when it first arrived to check the fit. It fit great on him (8 years old), but after only a few minutes he started complaining about the plastic shoulder pieces hurting his shoulders. When he put it on the next day to go to the zoo I put folded up hand towels in between his shoulders and the pieces. He wore it for several hours without any shoulder discomfort. Got a TON of stares, finger pointing and compliments on it!

We purchased this costume for our son's Halloween social at his middle school. The costume on his own looks cool, but we added a hatchet, a bloody model brain we made ourselves, and a sling to put around the fake neck for our son's bandaged head to "suspend" from. This helped to keep his hands free. He won first place for Scariest Costume. I wanted to add a note about comfort. We didn't have any issues with the costume staying put, but halfway through the evening our son felt discomfort while wearing the plastic piece only over a t-shirt. My husband had extra bandages with him, so he was able to add some cushion between the plastic piece and my son's shoulder. You can easily plan ahead and find a way to cushion the shoulders when the costume first goes on.

Good costume and looks well but it is pretty basic. My 10 year old daughter complained the shoulder bits were hurting her and she couldn't keep it on for very long. Everyone did comment on how good it looked though. The price was a bit high for what it was.
