Beautiful and inspiring
The art is gorgeous! A quarter of the book is all introduction which is not necessary for everyone. I wish there were more apothecary recipes. However the recipes are on point, mostly simple and fun to create, while also being useful. One of my favourites is the tea recipe in my picture.

Great book for lotions and potions.
I saw this book in Salem, MA but was unable to buy it because my tour started. It took me weeks to find, and it was totally worth it. The book is beautiful. It has correspondences for beginners but enough of a different point of view if you’ve been practicing for a while. The recipes are great for the products.

Buy this book
This book is absolutely heavenly. It is gorgeous, and packed with information & inspiration.I decided to go through & mark all the pages that had recipes I wanted to try. You can see in the picture how many I have marked so far, & I'm only about 2/3 of the way through the book.In addition to recipes for creams, lotions, bath products, space clearing tools & more, there is so much information on the wheel of the year & how it affects our lives. If you have any interest in such things, you must add this book to your library.

A Book of ✨Practical Magic✨
I was thrilled to see this solo offering from Lorriane Anderson. "The Witch's Apothecary" is a lovely, richly illustrated book showcasing Lorriane's incredible talent with herb and flower magic. The book is well laid out and organized. Parts 1 and 2 give good information written in an accessible way about living a wholly magical life. That is, providing information about ingredients, laying out the foundation and relationship of the ingredients, crafting the apothecary items, and using them easily throughout the wheel of the year.As far as I can see, those ingredients that would not be available in your local grocery and herb store are a click away on Amazon.Part 3, Working with the Wheel of the Year, walks the reader through the sabbats without overwhelming amounts of information and without dogma. Instead, she provides themes, magical workings, correspondences, and recipes for each that readers can easily incorporate into their lives as they establish their "Magical Living Practice."Despite its title, even those not interested in magic, per se, but who want to live a more earth-based, seasonal life incorporating their own handcrafted items will enjoy this book. She makes the book that accessible. To quote Aunt Jet in Practical Magic, The Witch's Apothecary is for the "little witch in all of us."Bravo, Lorriane.

Missing Words
I haven't finished reading yet but in chapter4 there are missing words. Paragraphs start to begin with lower case letters and whatever the author is describing is missing from the beginning of the paragraph. Some of it you can figure out but some you can't. It will just say expensive and talk about the oil but you don't know which one it is that's expensive and would be synthetic if you found it at an inexpensive price. It's multiple paragraphs or I wouldn't have pointed it out. Beautiful book but missing words is worrisome in a spell or recipe book

Well written.
I love this book. It's inspiring. So many recipes and ideas for the wheel of the year. This book is a go to for me. Teaches about self care, reflection, and appreciation for all of nature. It's very helpful during the winter blahs. The author is so very knowledgeable and I love her work.

Enjoyable to read and follow
As my bestie said, “Her book reads authentic.”. I agree whole heartedly. I’m an absolute mystic. Lorraine speaks to me about everything I practice and already do spiritually. I am guided by spirit at all times. I have been all of my life. This includes what I need to eat for energy to getting myself healthy after sickness. This book is exactly what I needed to move in fun new direction and exploring once again, for myself, husband, fur babies, and my watercolor art. As it speaks to that as well. Buy this book! Don’t hesitate.

Surpreendente
