The quality you expect in a container you can re-use for years
I love these gallon jars of mayo. I don't use mayo as a sandwich spread, but it's the base of a few different sauces that I love, so I tend to use a fair amount of it. Hellmann's is the same mayo as Best Foods & has all the freshness & quality you'd expect. The jar is full to top -- right up to the seal.These big jars are sealed really well & I've never had a problem with them leaking during shipping. Under the lid, there's a tough, thick paper-like top that takes some effort to remove. It would take some catastrophic damage in shipping to pop that seal. I live in a rural mountainous area & it survives the trip just fine :)One thing I love about buying this size is that it lasts me a few months & I basically have a free wide-mouth jar to store things in like pancake mix, specialized flours, often-used pastas, cereals, etc. The wide mouth makes it easy to stick in a measuring cup or to spoon out ingredients.The plastic on the jar is very sturdy & will serve in your pantry for many years. Even the lid is good quality & will last. If you have the space in your fridge, you can't go wrong with this.

COST EFFECTIVE
We go through mayo FAST in the summer. So a gallon size is very cost effective. I kept old mayo jars and also used quart-size canning jars to divide up the gallon once I opened it. We had enough spare space in the frig to keep it chilled.

Great Quality Every Time!
DELICIOUS! We have ordered from here before and I am so glad to know they have added ADDITIONAL safety precautions! The item comes in bubble wrap with a sealer on the lid in case there is a spill of some sort! I am sort! I am very pleased with the quality of this seller!
