Why did you pick this product vs others?:Took a little while to ship but worked perfect for my 2016 f150. Have only drove it once since installing but apple CarPlay worked perfect once installed and I updated my sync 3 1.0 version to the 3.0 version using the ford update on their website and a usb flash drive. Would recommend as it updated truck significantly with addition of CarPlay.

That was easy!!!! No factory carplay / android auto on 2016 Ford Expedition EL. Using CyanLabs I first updated my radio from sync 3 version 1 to Sync 3 version 3.4 using a USB stick. Carefully popped out the original (non-carplay) hub without scratching anything and put this in, in less than 5 minutes. I instantly have (wired) Android Auto and it works extremely well. This hub was the same physical size as the one that came out. Very happy to have AA and carplay in the 2016 expedition now.

This upgraded hub was exactly what I needed to get wired Apple Carplay in my 2016 F150. Make sure that your SYNC 3 system is upgraded to at least version 3.0 for this to work.

The part was easy to install and now the CarPlay on my 2016 Ford Escape with Sync 3 works perfectly.

This ABSOLUTELY FITS A 2016 Ford Escape! 10 minute job, now my rig has Apple CarPlay! Just an FYI the phone must be plugged in to the USB port for CarPlay to work.

Appeared to be a genuine Ford part just as advertised. Amazon said it would fit my 2020 Ford Edge, but it did not. It was a lot bigger than the part I was trying to replace (see photo).
