Beautiful knife, materials feel very quality. I can see this being my EDC for a long time. It needed some help from my end to sharpen it up to where I like my blades. But I enjoy the process of sharpening a new knife, makes it your own.

What a lovely knife. It's the right combination of small and weighty in the pocket. The two smaller blades were extremely sharp right out of the box. The clip point was sharp enough to slice paper, but not quite as smoothly as the two smaller blades, which glided through it as cleanly as you could ask for. Seems like great build quality overall so far, however the blades do touch slightly marking one of them, but that seems to be a common trait of the Case Stockman. The other common complaint is the emblem falling out. Mine came attached quite firmly, but it's too early to say if it will need to be glued back in at some point down the road. Neither of those two gripes will detract from my everyday use of the knife, so I give it full marks.

These days, there are a lot of good quality choices out there when it comes to buying a new knife. As a knife collector, I love a lot of them and also have good things to say about some of the other brands out there. There are a lot of knife steels out there with some great properties to make blades with, but here are a few of the differences I have observed with my Case products: ♣Case knives are still 100% made in USA by real expert craftsmen. ♣EXACT fit and finish on all mating pieces, smooth opening, and beautiful to look at. They still take obvious PRIDE in their work. ♣Real dyed bone handles. ♣They hold an edge like no other knife I have ever owned- they stay sharper longer than my Shrades, Gerbers, Bucks, or Kershaws. ♣Lifetime guarantee. ♣Tough! The handles have never loosened or come off on any of my Case knives. ♣These are not just good quality knives- they are among the BEST knives made. Period. When my grandpa passed away in 1994, I received his Case pocket knife. It was the only knife he ever carried with him and he had probably used it for 25 or 30 years before I got it. It is still a great knife to this day and holds a fine edge for a long time. I have since bought a couple other Case knives and I expect they will become heirlooms to my own grandchildren someday.

So I received my knife, came in a nice small box with care instructions. After opening my knife the blades had scratches over them. The blades aren't lined up well. After a week or so of owning it, it slipped from my pocket on the sofa, as I stood up, it fell on the floor and the logo badge fell off. I emailed CaseXX and got a standard reply email saying someone would be in touch in a couple of days... Its been a couple of weeks and no answer from them, even after sending a chase email to see they got my message, I have heard nothing... This will be the last knife I buy from casexx, which is a shame, as the knife is ok apart from those faults
