Perfect for jar candles!
I use a beeswax/coconut oil blend in my glass jar candles and these wicks are perfect! Steady flame, pools to the edge, no tunneling, burns beautifully to the bottom. I love 'em! Like most chandlers, I had to do a ton of experimenting until I hit on the optimal combo of waxes/oils and wick. I rarely use scent however, which *for me*, scent can be my Achilles Heel of candlemaking...even with these awesome wicks. Some scents work great, others ruin the whole recipe as far as the end-candle-performance. I've used fragrances as well as essential oils. On a personal note, I prefer the slight honey/beeswaxy and coconut scents of the oil/wax used. When I do use scent, I go very light. I've seen some reviews that complain about the scent of these hemp wicks. Honestly, I don't know what they're talking about, I smell nothing offensive!

good quality and easy to use wicks but need to be trimmed
good quality and easy-to-use wicks coated well they are sturdy but flexible but need to be trimmed they get flamed easily but the flame indeed is at low temperatures if you first use it and the wick long it will burn at large flame however it will still be a gentle fire (I use and test it on beeswax without anything just beeswax) but I won't recommend using in a glass container I only use wide metal votive metal candle holders it may not be very decorative but safety should come first, along with a plate beneath and never on a tablecloth that is flammable or cloth better directly at the table best will be a stone table, it's worth noting also even if you use beeswax the more higher the flame the more oxygen burns even if the beeswax clean the air and the wick is good and healthy, so for rooms better short trimmed, if you look for very small flame those wicks will probably never give small flame only between mid to low or high, note after observing after a certain time if trimmed it will be mid to nearly high flame so better use that wick in open spaces however due to the flame temperature the wax won't burn quickly at all yet provide strong light but high oxygen burn.

I really love these organic hemp wicks!
I am very happy with these wicks! I have found them to be perfect in my 4 ounce , 2 inch diameter jar candles. You can't just stick any wick in any candle. If you use a wick that is too small, your candle will tunnel (only burning in the middle around the wick). And if you choose a wick that is too big you'll have a big, flickering flame that burns your candle down too fast! I used a soy and beeswax blend and scented my candles with essential oils. I've made a few lemon basil candles. Mine burned great, and the candles I gifted are burning perfect too, (say the recipients). I just made a blue tansy candle using one of these wicks and I will attach a photo. I've only used these wicks for candles that are 2 inch in diameter, 4 ounces, with beeswax/soy wax blend, scented with essential oils, so I can't say whether they'd work well in other candles. There are a lot of variables that goes into choosing the perfect wick for your candle; the type of wax your using, if your scenting it with fragrances or essential oils, what size, weight and diameter the candle will be, if your using a cotton or hemp wick, etc., so I have found experimentation to be the answer! And if it doesn't work out I melt the wax down and try again! I'm going to try these wicks in 2 ounce, 2 inch diameter candles tonight. I won't know how it will burn until the candle cures, but I will update my review with results when I do! I can say there was no to low smoke and a perfect flame and burn with my lemon basil candles! I've also attached a photo one of the lemon basil candles I've burned with this wick.

Great wicks!
This is my first attempt at candle making, my own little custom thing. I bought these wicks, which are 8” long? I use much shorter pieces so I have lots of leftover wick. The wicks are very thick and produce a large, hot flame - a little too hot for what I need, I guess I need some thin, cheap ones!

Good Wicks for Tallow and Tallow/Beeswax blend
I am an experienced candlemaker - using paraffin type waxes. But I wanted to try making tallow and beeswax candles which is completely different. None of the zinc core wicks I use on paraffin waxes worked. I did some research on the type of wick to use but of course I knew I’d need to test the candles. So I ended up buying these wicks. I tested votives and container candles. I made 100% beeswax, 100% tallow and a mixture of the two. The 100% tallow candles all burned perfectly! The mixed candles burned great in votives but had some tunneling in larger containers. The 100% beeswax candles didn’t burn nearly as well and a larger wick or cotton wick would do better. Hope this helps someone.

These Work!
I buy expensive candles and didn't want to waste the wax on the bottom so I needed wicks for a beginner diy candle melting project. The previous wicks I bought did not work (Brand:Uyoyous Pre-Waxed Wick). I have soy candles and created a 3-wick candle similar to Bath and Body Works. These wicks are amazing!! They create a nice flame that allows for an even burn. They don't come with adhesive, so I used super glue to keep them in place. I am so happy I did not listen to the negative reviews! Definitely would recommend these.

Smokes too much
Overall, these are decent and get the job done. However, they produce a lot of residue and smoke.

I thought these would be a healthier version for my homemade candles but the stench and tall burn of these wicks is ridiculous. Waste of money.
