I bought these paper towel holders to, you know, hold paper towels. And they are great for that! But when I saw how they came apart for shipping I realized I could use them to store my giant collection of ribbons and various kinds of string. The spools slide right onto the spindle, then the parts that hook into the pegboard are added. I love a product that can serve more than one purpose.

I purchased these to store some of my machine embroidery stabilizers above my desk, next to my embroidery machines, for quick and easy access. I bought the 4 pack because the savings vs the 2 pack just made more sense to do and I could easily find something to do with the other 2 if it didn’t work out. To my surprise, the huge rolls of stabilizers fit perfectly and they’re super easy to measure out and cut straight from my pegboard! I was storing these on DT paper towel roll holders on my cutting table and having to remove them to cut and measure AND move them off as I needed to cut fabric for patterns. While this worked, it wasn’t very practical. I have other rolls of stabilizers and interfacing which I use for a variety of projects, and I will eventually create an entire wall of them using pegboards and these awesome attachments! Until then, I decided to use the additional ones to see if I liked the way I could organize my ribbon this was as well. These make my crafting and sewing projects so much easier to complete! I no longer have to dig through bins or drawers to see how much of my most popular rolls of ribbon I have left. From across the room I can easily see which ones I’m getting low on, and if an order comes in for one I don’t use often I can easily glance up and see if I still have some of that ribbon left still, or if I need to get up, walk across the room, sift through rolls in a bin, then walk back to my computer and respond. That is easy enough to do, but when you’re a small business with no employees and all tasks fall on your shoulders, these little time saving steps are PRICELESS!! I HIGHLY recommend these! They’re super sturdy, yet not heavy weight. I will try to remember to come back with better pictures, but for now you can see them in the left side of the picture.

Good item. Can be a little difficult to get the bar in place on longer tubes. They work similar to a curtain rod extension, these worked with most of my tubes but not quite long enough for the really big rolls. They stay in place without the need for peg locks.
