American Crafts E-Z Stitch Scroll Rod Molded Hook Tape .375" X3yd

I was extremely skeptical about this new way to attach the material to my scrolls. I had tried the split rod system and I hated it. Too hard to get every thing even and then it would slip if you couldn't wrap it around a couple of times. But I was working a project and one rod had a little crack in it and the threaded part kept coming out and I couldn't tighten it and all I could find were these new fangled things with Velcro. Really, Velcro!! Well I got it and by golly it works great. The piece I'm working on is wide, but not long and even the six in side bars are almost too long, but this holds on and it's working great. I did find out that you have be very careful to get it straight when attaching the material. I was about an 1/16th of an inch off on one side and it pulled and wouldn't lay straight. But I was able to take it off and re-do it. I think I'm going to like this system. Oh, and the delivery was within a couple of days from ordering.

I needed some replacement tape for my scroll rod and this was exactly what I was looking for! Easy to use!

I use this with my American dream scroll frame. It holds my aids cloth taut. I have reused the tape when I start a new cross stitch kit. I am very happy with this product.

I have used this product for many years to attach a needlepoint canvas to a scroll frame. Allows the canvas to be pulled very taut to allow for more uniform stitches. Very important in needlepoint! I am very pleased with the product and will buy it again from this seller.

I love this product but I recieved the one for the rod instead of the fabric like the picture shows (why I'm giving it 4 stars) I'm keeping it cause I know I'll use it eventually, but I need the fabric one really soon and I'm afraid to order again....

I'm in love with the whole American Dream set. The hook and loop system for their scroll frames does mean that I'm occasionally replacing half of the tape as I finish projects, but that's fairly infrequently, and the tape is affordable when I need it. I was mostly concerned with the glue, both in its ability to hold onto the frame and fabric despite the tension placed on it, and its ability to come off the fabric. It does both, though I've taken to just cutting my fabric a little larger than needed and cutting the tape away when I'm done. I don't find the tape is very re-usable, since once you peel it off the fabric, a lot of dust and fibre is still going to be stuck to it, weakening its hold on the next project. It winds up being better to just buy new when you've used it all up.

This is one of the best systems to use for either cross stitch or needlepoint. Unfortunately, even though the description of the item showed that this was the fabric tape, I was shipped the scroll rod tape instead. Had to return and re-order.

I've been a stitcher for nearly 50 years. The no-baste system of scroll rods by American Dream Products is by far the best and easiest system for keeping canvas or fabric stretched I've ever used. I keep buying new fabric tape to put another project on my bars. I highly recommend this system to all stitchers, new and old. It's simple, quick, easy to use and I don't spend more than 5 minutes getting a new project ready to stitch. Even better, when I need to pack a project away for a short term, the fabric tape remains on the project cloth. I just attach the project to the scroll rods when I'm ready to work again and away I stitch. Truly outstanding idea!

A necessity if you have the no-baste system of the American Dream products. This is for attachment to the fabric. I have used the no-baste system for several years, much easier than basting the fabric to the scroll rod.
