Great prong collar
Definitely need pliers to remove links for sizing. Works great and is sturdy

Excellent affordable prong collar.
Excellent prong collar. It's easy to adjust to fit your dog's size neck - we use a pliers to squeeze the prongs instead of our fingers. The collar lasts about one year because the spring can rust, but we walk our dog multiple times of day AND in all types of weather! It is lightweight yet durable. It is worn loosely and easily tightens to signal your dog to obey commands. Our 75 pound border collie-black lab is prey sensitive and likes to pull. The prong collar gently reminds him to obey our commands and stop pulling. Our dog's obedience training instructor recommended it and she was totally right that the prong collar allows me to handle him better. He is a good dog and is much better on walks with the prong collar,

Great on long-haired, large breeds
We have 1 yr farm dogs, so they are not trained or used to a leash. In reading the reviews, no one mentioned long-haired large breed dogs. Our are Great Pyrenes/Anatolian/Shepherd. The product information was also confusing because while there are few breeds larger than ours, the collar length seemed to indicate we would need a M/L for both dogs, but the weight indicated one as a M/L and the other as a L/XL. The dogs now weigh, about 85 lbs and 105 lbs. Many reviewers say they had to take out links. I ordered both sizes. The size in the package worked great. The links are different sizes meaning the links on the M/L are not interchangeable with the L/XL. I am not sure if it has more to do with sizing or the long hair, but the collars were hard to take off. The dogs stood patiently while I struggled to remove the collars. I added the extra links and that solved the problem. If our dogs grow to 150 lbs, I will have to update this review--I don't know that the extra link will be enough for regularly removing the collar. As far as training and comfort, the dogs immediately obeyed and have on each walk this week. These work like charm! We are so happy. When a rabbit is spotted, they may still pull a bit, but only to a certain point, and certainly not to the point that we need to strain to keep them close. They are excellent for training, the dogs did not mind wearing them all day (now that they come off easier, we remove them after training), and they seem to be quite durable. Some reviewers said they left the collars on all day. I would not because they are a bit heavy for all day use and I would be concerned about the collar getting caught on something on the farm. For dog owners who keep their dog inside, personally, I would get tired of the sound of the collar. I recommend for training and/or walks only. Our true test will be when we take them to a public area and meet other people and dogs, but based off what have seen so far, I believe they will continue to obey with those distractions.

Breaks easily, but got refund
EDITED: Company did reach out to me and offered me a refund. Said I should keep the rubber covers on to avoid the prongs disconnecting, but I had originally wanted to keep them off bc my dog’s scruff is so thick, I wasn’t sure he even felt the collar. Changing the review bc company did make it right, this collar just didn’t work out for me. This collar has SNAPPED OFF multiple times. The prongs are connected to each other, but can slip off, so I’ve had the collar break off multiple times and my dog just runs off into the distance. Do not buy if your dog is like my husky doesn’t have good recall.

Ehh
I gave it a three star because I have now had the collar since June 2025 and the clamps have broken off twice while I was walking my dog. I love the fact that it clips, but it worries me that it has broken twice.

I have carpal tunnel in both my hands so standard prong collars are very difficult for me to take on/off. The quick release buckle is significantly easier to use and I love that it functions as a trachea guard as well. The bare tips are nicely rounded so they don't require the covers provided but I find them helpful for keeping the collar from sliding down your dog's neck. Over all it's very well made and easy to use.

First Impressions was, it’s huge! I might of taken Small for my German Shepherd. I took off 4 prongs and now have 6 prongs spare. There are only 4 prongs left on the collar. Idk how it will work as it will only squeeze the sides of the dog’s neck. Best suited for large necked dogs. Top quick release would be better, bottom uses prong space so there are less points of pressure.

My 30lb golden retriever puppy (at 7 months old) started running toward another dog and the collar snapped at the hook connector site. These collars are supposed to inhibit pulling and stop them when they feel a pinch from doing so. I have another traditional prong collar for my other dogs and they have never broken.
