Worked perfect. Good build quality.
Worked perfect in my late 2009 iMac. Fan speeds were an issue with the replacement SSD and the fan speed apps help while running the OS but when running windows or powering o or installing OS's the fans would run at full speed without this device.Also nice to properly control the fan speeds based on the heat exchange from the motherboard rather than it not knowing what the temperature of that part of the system is running at.

This kit was perfect for me
This kit was perfect for me. Worked perfect and my iMac is now running an SSD. I also replaced my failing optical drive with a bluray also purchased from OWC. Perfect.

Don't let Apple win.
I hate how Apple forces product obsolescence into their business model, intentionally making it incredibly hard or sometimes nearly impossible for the average consumer to repair or upgrade a product, thus steering you to just buy a new one instead when the old one really does just need a little help. I've used OWC kits to upgrade several iMacs with SSDs, thus infusing newfound speed and extending their lifespans. I won't say it's "easy" but if you follow the steps in the instructions you definitely can give your iMac a few more years of life.

Best price getting this bundle, even includes ALL the tools you need.
It's not for beginners, but for technicians who know how to be careful, attentive to details, and can watch a youtube video - lol - it's easy enough (bring some patience and tweezers to pick up and place magnetized screws though lol)I used this kit to replace the HD in a mid-2011 iMac 21.5" - and HOLY MONKEY, after doing the wifi OS install, the mac boots up INSTANTLY. I mean push the power button, chime, and logo takes 3 seconds, but it's up and running after the apple logo in about 2 seconds. SSDs are the best upgrade for any computer with an HD. We use this iMac in our kitchen to watch youtube and other shows and look up recipes, but it's so fast we started using it as an actual 2nd workstation to take zoom calls from work on and some light MS Office and email work, it's actually fast enough again to be a useful computer! SO WORTH IT!

Great Kit and SSD Product
Have not installed yet. All items are in kit. All items are new. SSD is factory sealed. Kit is factory sealed. Product is priced very reasonable. UPS delivery was bad box was damaged on one side but seller packed very well. I recommend.
