This case is well designed. It fits like a glove. But just like racing gloves, it needs to be put on carefully for it is an intentional tight fit. If you follow the correct procedure, it will slid on the first time.Buy this case. Just take your time to learn how it is installed.

Just received today. Seems sturdy, fits perfectly. Possibly a tiny bit slippery on the sides where I hold it. I don't really think it's going to bother me, and if it does I'll just rub a little clear silicon sealant where my fingers go to give it a little tack. The back has a hard rubber overlay on the plastic with a football-like texture. Overall it has a nice feel in the hand, as opposed to the un-cased phone which I found really hard to hold. The opening on the bottom for the charging port is left open on the bottom, so you can still get a fingernail in it to pop open the charging port cover. If they had made the opening the same size as the port (like the power and volume button openings) you'd have to use a tool to open the cover.Took me five minutes to get on because I had to figure it out. Next time will be 30 seconds. Turn the phone off. Put the rubber on. Put the plastic over the entire power button side. (Seller comment says do the volume button side first, but if you do that you'll end up operating the power button several times in the next step.) Put the other side of the plastic on the other side of the phone until the bottom is on as far as you can get it and the top rests flush behind the volume button. Use a small screwdriver to pry up the top edge of the plastic near the top of the volume button just enough to start sliding it over the button. You'll get it over about half of the button. Then use the screwdriver to pry up the plastic just below the button and push it the rest of the way on. At that point you'll likely have a little of the rubber squished out too far on that side. Just use your thumbs to push it and the plastic away from the phone and push it back into place.Sure, if you grab the rubber on the top or bottom where it's not reinforced with plastic you can pull it away from the phone. If you really wanted to you could pull it hard enough to tear it. So... don't do that. Problem solved. As it comes, it's snug on the top and bottom and I don't expect any problem with rubber failure.

I bought this case when I upgraded from my s3 to my s5 not without putting much thought into it. I just made sure to get a 2-piece shock resistant case like I had for my s3, I didn't look at reviews or look at the case very closely. To make a long story short, it took me about an hour to put the thing on, because the case doesn't flex enough around the buttons. I though I was going to break off my buttons or break the case trying to put it on.Once I finally got it on the phone, I have no complaints at all. The buttons respond good and the phone feels indestructible now. Its also worth noting that the hard plastic on the exterior of the case doesn't grip my car mount very well. It slides and moves when I drive on rough roads.All in all, it's a good case, I just thought I would point out my issues with it.

Awesome case! Granted, I know my having an s5 in 2018 is really rare. The case is a little tricky to install, however, when you finally get it to pop into place, you wonder why it was even difficult in the first place. This case is great! It feels sturdy without feeling huge against your hands. I also replaced my screen protector and now I feel like I have a brand new phone! I'm sure the other case models are great too but you can't beat the priceling for a years old phone! I am very happy!

I have a problem with my charging port and I have had trouble finding a case that will be easy to remove and change the battery without ending up with the case breaking after changing 3-4 times a day. I bought one previously before this one and the snaps on it had broken. I was a little leary with this not having the full plastic casing around it to protect it but its actually kept my phone VERY well protected!! I drop it often(I'm quite clumsy) between having it in my lap when I get out of my jeep and it falls on the ground or dropping it when I try to lay it on the counter...It has held up VERY well!

Overall I really like the color, feel and look of this case, however I feel like it's just not that well made. I don't like the awkwardness of how the bottom part of the case easily slips off every time use fingerprint scanner to unlock my phone and takes way more attempts to do so. The rubber at the top of the phone case is way too flexible as well and feel like in no time it will be out of shape or ripping apart. This case would have been a 5 star rating if the colored plastic part came up and over the rubber liner on all four sides, not just two sides where buttons are.

This is a nice cover for the money, a bit hard for me to get on the phone with my arthritis but once on it fits well. I would assume the SYONER [Shockproof] Hybrid Rubber will protect my phone if dropped but so far I haven't done so. It rubber keeps it from sliding around when setting it down on a table or stand which is good since my dogs easily knocked my last phone off the coffee table regularly.
