I purchased these anchors for use in a poured concrete pier. The anchors are well made. The box of 25 included the nuts and washers in separate plastic bags. The packing box was even sturdier than needed. The overall zinc finish was bright and shiny. There was no uneven coverage on any anchor. The threading was sharp and defined. A very "jewelry" like finish. I have faith that when I install these fasteners they will hold fast. The "proof is in the pudding" and until I actually drill my holes, in cured concrete, and torque to the specified loading, I can't speak to the hold down power. These are to be used to anchor post metal "stand-offs, and they will be subject more to lateral loads than being pulled out of the concrete. Of course in tornado conditions, the decks "lift" will come into play. If my project experiences high uplift forces causing pull out of the anchors I will update my review after we pick up after the tornado. Such a failure will be more likely from my poor application of the product than any fault of these anchors. (After initial torqueing, the wedged anchors will have the voids in the drilled hole filled with epoxy to prevent wiggle from those lateral forces I expect from expansion and contraction.) Grumpy 46

I am installing a new sun shade for my back patio. I used 4X4 treated posts and was advised not to plant them in the ground here in south Florida. So, I used a post support from Home Depot and used the Confast anchors to hold them in place. If, when you first tighten them, they seem not to catch, do not loosen, pound the anchor back in and tighten again, the second time it should hold fast if it does not hold fast on the first attempt. I found the product to preform as advertised.
