Filter-Monster Branded Replacement Filter Bundle Compatible with IQAir GC Multigas Air Purifier Filters

These fit perfectly in my IQ Air GC Multi-Gas,however, they emit a strong chemical smell. I was hoping after a few hours it would pass, but this is the 2nd day. We own this Air Filter to remove odors, not add odors to the house. Going to see how I can get my money back, otherwise will be hundreds of dollars lost.

Difficult to say performance without scientific results. Noticed a sulfur smell for the first several weeks of running the filter. I’ve never noticed that with brand-name filters. Other than that, has worked well.

I bought these in hopes the other reviews were incorrect or the manufacture made changes. Nope. Not the case. I tried them for just under a month and the smoke smell would not go away. Do not buy.

The HEPA filter and the sleeves work great and look identical to the branded product. The carbon canister filters are a different story.Even after running the unit for six hours after installing the new canister filters, the whole room smells terrible. Like a combination of burned hair and an old campfire. Very off putting, and the exact opposite of what an air filter should be doing.I put the old canisters back in and the smell was gone in an hour. Time to get the OEM canisters from IQAir.

The original IQAir Multigas Filters consist of the prefilter, four carbon cartridges, and four filters which go over those cartridges. This kit includes the full set of those items, so you're not purchasing them separately. The prefilter in my opinion is indistinguishable from the IQAir OEM prefilter. Perfect fit, looks identical. Seems to work identically. The four gas cartridges seem a little easier to install than I recall the IQAir OEM's one to have been. They also don't seem to leak carbon dust - probably because they contain coconut shells verses coal if I understand the Filter-Monster marketing materials correctly. The Filter-Monster filters which go over the gas cartridges seem much easier to install than I recall with the IQAir cartridges as well, which I remember being extremely tight and difficult to get on.Upon installation of the new cartridges and filters I turned the IQAir air to speed 3 (generally I run it at 1 or 2) and let it do its thing. As with any new GC cartridge, it takes several hours for the carbon cartridge odor to dissipate. The odor from my system was a slight burning smell, but not really offensive. Within three or four hours, odor gone and the room smelled and "felt" cleaner. Success. At a much lower price than what IQAir charges.

Carbon filters are NOT working. Of course I'm outside the 30 day window and they won't replace. Their website says 1 year warranty but they said the same 30 day nonsense. I didn't install them for a 2-3 weeks after receiving them. So when I decided that they are not working correctly I was past the 30 days! So I spent several hundred dollars for nothing!

Odor from the filters on arrival was strong once installed in the IQAir purifier...have been airing out ever since arrival...hoping this improves over time
