Glass Milk Bottle Caps - 4 Pack - 48mm (1.87 inch) Snap On Lids

For a moment I thought I had a problem. The caps didn't fit! Then I realized that I was too used to the broken ones! What I needed was to press down harder. These caps are excellent. They fit perfectly and grip very well. Great find! The first picture is the broken, old lid. You can tell it will be loose since it was broken on both sides. The next 2 pix are of the new lid fitted onto my bottle.

I was doing some cleaning and found a box of milk bottles that had never been returned to the store. Somehow they ended up in storage instead. Meantime, the dairy has gone out of business, so they're not returnable. They're such beautiful/strong/sturdy/well-made bottes, I didn't want to just toss them. So I'm using them to store grains, beans, lentils, green split peas, rice, collagen, and other food items. Unfortunately, I had no caps, so I ordered these. They fit perfectly, form a secure seal to keep pests out. I've only been using them for a few weeks so I can't comment on their sturdiness except to say that they seem good so far. I've noticed that most of the one star reviews are from people saying they didn't fit their milk bottles. I lucked out and they fit mine. If you're concerned about that, it would be wise to measure before ordering. Re: the value for money –– I was hoping to be able to buy more lids for the amount I spent. Not really faulting the seller for that. They are a good product, and as the saying goes. you get what you pay for.

I have vintage milk bottles. I was so happy seeing that caps fit the bottles to a T. Yes, if needed I definitely would buy them again.

I was super thrilled with my order. I thought I was getting 2 from what the picture showed and I missed that it was a 12 pack so I was thrilled!! They fit perfectly the little cream glass milk jug that I had and the cap had cracked. Thank you so much for having these to replace it and I loved the white color for milk!!!!!

I laughed when I opened the package because there were 12. I only needed one, but I remembered I went for the cheapest purchase so now I have back ups when they inevitably break or perhaps loosen. So far, so good. There is such a secure fit that I have no worries of the bottle l leaking. I would say I would buy the product again, but I think I’ll be good for quite some time with the extra 11 I now have on hand!

These caps are too tight. We have bought replacement caps that have lasted for years, but these are too tight to get off, and then don't seal well, either.

I should have read the reviews more carefully--usually I do. I have Dairy Shoppe glass bottles and while technically these do fit, they're difficult enough to use that I'll be passing them on. The problem is that the plastic is less flexible than on the original lids. This means they have to be snapped on hard. That's fine, but then it's very difficult to get them back off again. Oh well.

I was quite disappointed when I found the caps didn't fit my bottles - 1mm too small, so I left 1 star. After investigating the return/refund process however, I think it fairer to say these caps would be decent enough (for the price) IF you have the specific bottle type outlined in the description, and you understand they aren't really "reuseable" since they have a peel away sealing flange.
