It's what I needed
These magnets are simply amazing. The switch turns them off and on and they work perfectly. I use them for various jigs and fixtures in my shop. They are CRAZY expensive for what you get but if you need one there really aren't any practical alternatives. I have discovered that if you drill a slotted opening to fit the Magswitch then you don't need to screw them in place to make them functional. This allows me to just pull them out when I want to repurpose them with another fixture or jig and drop them in place. This simple technique will save you a boatload of cash! :-) One thing to note is that if you want them to resist lateral loads the capacity is only about 20% of the hold down capacity.

These things work great, but...
I wish I had gotten the MagJig 150s, which are more powerful. I am a woodworker. These 95s work OK if you glue some non-slip material to their bases, like thin cork or rubber sheet. They are very hard to pull upward but jigs and fixtures made with them will slide sideways on cast-iron machine tables- obviously not a good scenario but is somewhat correctable as described above. MagJigs are very versatile and easy to use. I haven't attached them to jigs with screws, but instead have made several types of interchangeable jigs that use these as removable magnets. The on/off is achieved by rotating the knob. If you drill a single round hole into a fixture, the MagJig will rotate in the hole and you have to either hold it with two hands or screw it onto the jig to turn it on/off. But if you drill two slightly offset round holes, the jig won't rotate when you twist it- then you can remove these magnets on & off of various jigs. You can find the scenario for how to do this on youtube.

Surprised with the holding power. Considering the small size
I made a fence for my drill press. These magnets (used two) are more than strong enough.

Geniales Teil
