Great all rounder with impressive performance
Ok, let me address some repeating comments here first. This system can transmit at upto 6GBps if you link the two nodes by a cable. This is standard practice and shouldn’t be seen as false advertising. If you use the Wireless meshing system you utilise one of the two 5Ghz radios as a dedicated mesh backhaul. That still gives you a great WiFi AX network. Also if your looking at true 6Gbps requirement you will need 10Gbps wired infrastructure to everything else anyway so it really isn’t a problem. I have about 70 WiFi devices in my home and there is no bottle neck across the network and I am using the WiFi mesh. Right, onto the main review. This router and node kit is fantastic! Powerful, fast and full of useful features from an easy to use App (Android and iOS both available FOC) or the web GUI. Features include advanced IPS and gateway antivirus (provided by Trend Micro), full VPN server, excellent QoS and a host of other features for the advanced user. Setup was a breeze via the iOS app and from unboxing to fully configured mesh WiFi took less than 10 minutes. Please note however that the WAN port is presented as upto 2.5Gb Ethernet so you will need a Modem if you use VDSL/FTTC. I have a DrayTek Vigor 130 in my setup but the white OpenReach modems will be just as good for 99% of users. So far it has been rock solid and not missed a beat. There are some really cool features built in including a Speedtest.net plugin to test directly on the router (so you don’t have the drop between router and client) l, also a real-time traffic monitor lets you see how much bandwidth each device on your network is using in real time (great for fault finding) the VPN server works flawlessly as does the endpoint for Site-to-Site VPN. This is a great router system for both standard and advanced home users and would definitely recommend!

Outstanding coverage coupled with great throughput
I bought 2 x 2 packs of the ZenWiFi AX to replace 7 Linksys Velop 7 Pros that were failing miserably, given I was in a late Victorian multi-storey house covering 3,000sq.ft., due to their poor coverage in my environment. These ZenWiFi AXs are fantastic, cover a large area with client speeds in the 500-700Mps range and backhaul in the multi-gigabit range. A stable mesh system makes for highly reliable inter-node connections and for trouble free 4K+ video streaming. I ran a ping for a week and only 1 in 20,000 packets dropped (34 out of 636,000 packets sent). The 4 units cover all four floors with the lowest speeds I am seeing around 300-400Mbs mark. Setup when using the router capability looked straight forward, but I did not want to change my addressing scheme and have subnets so needed to run in AP mode with AiMesh. This proved not so intuitive to set up and took a few hours, using a combination of the App and the Web Interface. That said it all works beautifully. The Asus App and Web interface knock spots of Linksys equivalent. Very happy with my purchase, highly recommend.

WiFi 6 and better speeds
I have two broadband services coming into the property. One is fibre, the other standard broadband. I’ve had previous ASUs routers before and I do find them reliable and updated with new firmware for many years. The XT8 gives access to the informative ASUS software, which I personally like. It lets me monitor traffic, gives me tools to reduce issues. I can setup vpn within the router if I want. Big reason for this router is it allows me to link 2 broadband packages, in either fallback or split traffic according to other criteria. I have switched the wireless off on my other 2 routers. The signal quality at close range is very good and since I’ve had it there have been a couple of firmware updates. As a make, I have found ASUS to be reliable, versatile in how to set it up. The software can be accessed through a simple IP address and changing passwords is straight forward. It has wpa3 as well as wpa2, so if your device supports the newer standard, then good. My work pc supports wifi6, so does my mobile and a couple of other devices, which is good. I only got the single device as I can use my older asus router if needed as an extender. It takes up minimal space and fits in to my white wall background fine. Works fine with the ASUS app as well. It has a 2.5GB Ethernet port on the back as well as a standard USB 3 port. All I can say is my experience has been quite positive, and I use it everyday. ****Update**** I recently struggling to get my 160MHz range to show. this happened after doing a couple of firmware updates, as I had originally been able to see it. After this latest update and doing a complete reset of the system I now have it back again. It is the freq with the least interference, caused especially by living in a flat in London. So far it has remained stable. On my PC using a intel AX200 card, speed varied between 1.4 - 1.7Gbps

After a lot of research, and coming from almost twenty years of poor performance routers, repeaters, etc, including from reputable brands like Netgear, Dlink, TpLink, finally decided to fill my house with four of these all wired. I can predict at least a decade of pure performance and reliability. Important: contrary to market trends, you DO NOT need an account, they DO NOT collect your data, and you DO NOT require a subscription for anything. Web interface very comprehensive. Mobile app is simple but effective

Główne powody 1) Ograniczone możliwości konfiguracji sieci VLAN - brak możliwości przypisania VLAN do sieci podstawowej. 2) Brak możliwości przypisania adresów IP dla innych podsieci (gościnnych) 3) Brak wydania Merlin wspierającego VLAN 4) Brak możliwości ustawienia firewall w zakresie dostępu do sieci gościnnych i pomiędzy nimi.

I bought this by mistake and i compare it with linksys Hydra pro 6e and i shocked, because linksys is AXE 6600 and asus is AX11000. And both give me almost same result. Sorry Asus i am very disappointed.
