Q: Hi. How does this product hold up in the outdoors? Is mildew a problem?

No problem with mildew, the pillow that comes with it can be thrown in the garbage. The hammock itself is fine

Q: I assembled this hammock but there is no way to tighten the screws that hold the hooks. The screws slide back and forth in the holes. Is this safe?

It's safe, those are to hold the hammock. You don't want them tight

Q: Will rain ruin this product? or before a storm will I have to put it away?

You could leave it out. I take mine in so it doesn't discolor or not sure if wind would blow it
