It will take the smoke Smell away. But it is not a fresh scent in my opinion. Will not make it smell Normal for a little while and you have to open your windows To let the fresh air in.

Yes, this can be sprayed on the headliner. That's how I apply it and have had no issues.

Does this eliminate years old smoke smell in closets?

I smoked in my 2002 BMW x5 since I got it and Dakota removed the odor. Every once and a while it needs a few refreshing sprays but overall it works better than anything else.

How does this compare to the Neutral fragrance one?

completely different type of product. This product is made to eliminate odors not just cover them up. It has a baby powder smell to it. It also sprays completely different, it sprays fairly dry which is weird. It just creates a fog in the room and it lingers which eliminates the scent.
