Swap LS Engines into Chevelles & GM A-Bodies: 1964-1972 Paperback – May 2, 2017

Really great book, that gets you started in the right direction. It also show syou how to modify old existing parts to go into your A body. Worth a buy if you are planning a build.

Information in this book is outdated and not very explicit.

No time for a good review but I like the material covered.

Very generic information. Did not focus on A-bodies. A total waste of money. More info on the internet

. I have a few other books in this series and they are useful. This book unfortunately rehashes most of those books and does not add much new.What I was looking for was Chevelle/A-body specific information for LS swaps. Things like frame and steering box clearances. Trans tunnel clearances etc. In the other books there's a lot of 'You might have issues with' which makes sense because they don't know specifically which vehicle you're working on. But when the cover says 'Chevelle 64-72' one expects them to know.What would have been useful would be 'You have 10.5" to the left of the block and 13" to the right of the block between the frame rails, and here's the exact measurements of the various accessory drives.' So you know before you start swapping what you have ordered will fit. There is none of that. Which is the whole point of buying the book. It leads me to believe the author has never actually swapped a Chevelle or A-body or done that research.This book is still useful to the novice swapper, as there's a lot of well laid out planning in this book, the same as the others. But it doesn't bring anything new to the table and I feel a little hoodwinked by them throwing 'Chevelle' on the cover to get another $25 out of my wallet.
