Item smaller than expected and was missing one of the pins that hinge the two halves. I was going to return it, but realized the pins were not necessary and might actually hinder holding the food in place. (Like when you try to close a restaurant check folder over a fat ball point pen—good luck with that!) So with the caveat that the skewer in the photo is short and the meat must be tidbits, not bite-sized chunks, this works if you (a) hold it flat with your hand and (b) are making appetizer skewers. For full-length kabobs, I suppose you could do half the skewer, then refill the box and repeat for the other end of the skewer. As a satay making tool I'd give it 4*; for kabobs, 2*. For the deceptive photo and missing piece, 1*. The design seems sturdy enough for the price, and as a single-purpose tool it seems justified. It certainly is not a kitchen space hog, lol. Okay, call it 3* overall.

I gave this product one star because it is not possible to give it no stars.It is an absolute joke. The seller must've given it's self the five star rating that it had.This product is absolutely non-functional. I took it out of the package look at it and through it all in the trash.Save yourself time and effort and a few dollars. There has got to be better products out there than this one.Can't believe Amazon would actually even have this product on their site.
