Strong 'handle', the cotton doesn't fall off as soon as you look at it and it's fairly absorbent when used with light solvents. Just feel a bit too expensive compared to shorter handle version though.

I've just been using generic q-tips for electronics cleaning and maintenance, but it was getting annoying with how easily the shafts bend and how much fuzz the heads leave when cleaning or trying to lay down heat sink compound etc, so I got a box of these to try. I was surprised just how different these are from q-tips. The cotton or whatever they're using still may drop a thread every now and then, but the heads hold together very well. The shafts are long and strong. At first I thought I would just snap them in half to use single-ended, but I immediately discovered these are actually challenging to snap in half by hand. I use a dikes now if i want two halves.So they get full marks for durability. The only drawback they have is that because of how solid the heads are, they don't work well to "mop" around features when cleaning. It's like trying to clean a window with a baseball, you just don't get a lot of contact on a flat surface. So if you need something that still has a somewhat soft and flexible material in the head, these won't work for you. But if you need to be scrubbing grime off a surface, they're excellent. If I'm cleaning up a circuit board, with all the soldered nubs pointing up on the back, I sometimes have to get out regular q-tips for the final clean-up.You get a pretty big fox of them for the price. (and I'll probably find another use for the decent plastic box they came in when I get through them)

The length allows dipping into medical bottles and they are strong so they don't bend.

These worked great on my industrial machine. Easy to use and cleaned the black away from the area I needed.
