There is nothing better to restore the function and add longevity to old (or new) potentiometers, switches and connectors. I have used it for decades. I suggest buying the small bottle with a needle dropper on it. The spray cans are effective but waste a lot of the valuable product.

i saw some one on youtube use this to clean their game cart and also put some in a pot for a 2600 paddle. so i got some and boy does it work well! especially for cleaning the contacts on a virual boy for the displays after solder fixing them. i also tried it out in the volume knob and and its as smooth as silk after applying when turning it and the sound is no longer crackly. it works way better than wd-40! all though the price is high i will be using this sparingly. one thing i really like it the fact that it absorbs in to tiny cracks making it easier to oil a pot. If you work on old electrics this is a must!

It's Deoxit. That's all I should have to say. It's the ultimate contact cleaner. One thing I did not like it for is cleaning pots. The residue does not evaporate so it caused issues with my pots. But I have other rapid evaporating cleaners for that. One thing to note is that - it looks like the bottle is small. But, it's surprisingly gone a really long way. I used it to clean out some electronic keyboard encoders and it worked great.

This stuff works great for cleaning volume controls and switches. The needle applicator allows you to put the solution exactly where you need it. There's much less waste and mess compared to the terrible leaking spray can. It's pretty expensive, but it works.

Having only 25 ml in the container, this might seem a bit pricey, but it’s not to be confused with the D5 5% solution. This is 100% D-series concentrate. I use it to over haul potentiometers (most only require one tiny drop of this stuff using the needle applicator). Amazing effective and easy to use product. Well worth it.

So I don't consider myself a video game collector because I only buy vintage games I had as a kids, my friends/cousins had when I was a kid, or games I always wanted but didn't get. Either way collecting vintage games means you "inherit" The grossness of all previous owns before. I have always cleaned my pins with alcohol and I am sure it is sufficient but wanted to go the extra mile to not only remove all oxidation but also protect the pins. This stuff is magic in a bottle. Even after scrubbing with alcohol this took more off, it also coates the pins and made them silky smooth. I now know when I go to play a game, it is as clean as it can be and will remain that way for another 30-40 years. It's expensive but goes a very very long way!

I needed this so that I could clean out the pots on my electric guitar's volume and tone knobs and pickup selector. They were getting really scratchy-sounding. I did my research on how to solve the problem, and I found out that I needed some contact cleaner. I first tried some of CRC 05101 QD Electronic Cleaner - 4.5 Wt Oz. because I found it in the house. I thought that it worked at first, but after a while the problem seemed a little worse than before. I then did more research, and I suppose that what I used wasn't quite the right solution. It's also possible that the problem got worse because I put the solution into the pots at the wrong spot. Anyway, I found this solution after more research, and it works like a charm! The volume and tone knobs and the pickup selector have absolutely no static, scratchy noises, or anything else. Now, I don't have to cringe when I need to turn up my volume or change the tone or move to a different pickup. Also, I really like the needle applicator, since it helps with applying the solution in small openings and such. Maybe the first solution would've worked if I'd applied it correctly, but either way I know that this one definitely does work. The only reason that I'm giving this four stars instead of five is that it seems a little bit too expensive.

If you want to improve the performance of any electric connection this concentrated liquid works wonders. Not only lubricates but actually improves the flow of current. How can I tell ? I use this on my high end two channel audio system and I can HEAR THE DIFFERENCE ! Sounds like snake oil but it’s not.

Amazing product, expensive but worth the money, use it sparingly, mix it with Isopropyl alcohol to use on model railway track and rolling stock wheels.

I had heard great things about this one. for years i thought that was just marketing hype... i was wrong... this changes everything. Every audio engineering academy, university or school should give one this each of their passouts. it will last the rest of their professional lives and then some.
