As a physician, I am pleased
Iâve been using the KardiaMobile 6-lead for about 4 years and am very happy with its abilities. I just purchased the KardiaMobile card and have started using it when I donât have access to the 6-lead. The setup was easy. Just follow the prompts in the app to get established. To turn on, just squeeze the on button between your thumb and index finger and feel the click. To keep the device on, you have to touch the two electrodes with your thumbs within 10 seconds, or it turns off. I would have liked a longer time for this disconnect, as I usually am trying to look at the screen on my iPad/iPhone and need an extra finger to select my options. Still, once you get used to it, this becomes less of an issue. Holding the card between your fingers can result in a great deal of artifact on the tracing, due to minor shaking/vibrations of your thumb. With concentration, you can lessen this movement, or just place the card on a flat surface and use your index fingers. The card only provides a single lead tracing, but in most cases that is all you need. Rarely, one of the other 5 leads on the 6-lead device might help clarify the rhythm, but most of the time in the emergency department or sitting in the back of an ambulance, a single lead is sufficient. Remember the old medical student axiom, âfast or slow, regular or irregularâ. That is what this device will tell you. A fast rhythm can make you feel exactly the same as a slow rhythm or an irregular rhythm. To be honest, the main advantage of this device is to capture a rhythm when you are away from your physicianâs office so you can take it and show it to her/him. I canât tell you how many times a patient will describe some irregular feeling in their pulse, yet when I hook them up to my monitor, their rhythm is stone cold normal. It is a game changer to have a copy of that weird rhythm captured by this device. As others have noted, this device wonât tell you if you are having a heart attack - nothing will replace an EKG. It will tell you âfast or slow, regular or irregularâ. It takes a fair bit of training to sort out the various rhythms your heart can produce. An irregular rhythm is not always atrial fibrillation. Extra beats - SVE (PVCs/PACs); atrial flutter; various types of heart block; etcâŠ, can all look similar on a single lead rhythm strip. The best strategy is to take your reading and show it to your physician. Donât get hung up on trying to integrate with other technology, parameters, or communication. Just keep it simple. You can also take advantage of the cardiology consult that this company offers, for a quick assessment. Some reviewers complain about the battery life of only around 2 years. At $50 a year to tell me if my meds are keeping my PVCs under control, thatâs a bargain, just skip one restaurant bill a year. Remember, regardless of what you think your rhythm shows, or the device says, if you feel bad, thatâs your body speaking to you. Call 911 or get someone to take you to an ER - NOW!

Heart health at your fingertips
I recently got my hands on the KardiaMobile Card Personal EKG Monitor and have been quite impressed with its performance. Its convenience and accuracy stand out, making heart health monitoring easier and more accessible than ever. The KardiaMobile Cardâs ability to provide accurate EKG readings in a matter of seconds is remarkable. It offers peace of mind, especially for those who need to monitor their heart regularly. The device connects seamlessly with my smartphone, and the accompanying app is user-friendly, providing clear and understandable results.Despite its impressive functionality, the monitorâs ultra-compact size, while a significant advantage for portability, has its downside. Iâve found it a bit too small for my preference, making it somewhat easy to misplace or lose track of. This is a minor inconvenience compared to the overall benefits, but itâs something to consider if you prefer larger devices or have a tendency to misplace small items.Overall, the KardiaMobile Card Personal EKG Monitor is a fantastic tool for anyone who values convenience and accuracy in heart health monitoring. Its size makes it incredibly portable, although a bit challenging to keep track of. If youâre looking for a discreet and efficient way to keep an eye on your heart rhythm, this device is definitely worth considering.

In a word, "Fabulous!"
I recently received my KardiaMobile Wallet-Sized EKG Device. First of all, I am amazed and so thankful at what the latest advances in technology have bestowed upon us. This little credit card size EKG machine is a literal life saver for me.Let me also say that I am not a technically oriented person, so I was a little intimidated at first. However, right out of the box the KardiaMobile was extremely quick and easy to set up. The cell phone app, and the registration process were also easy to do. Initially, I also had a question or two, so I called the customer support phone number that was located right in their little instruction booklet. I must say that the customer representative I spoke with was very receptive, patient and helpful. This entire simple set up process made me feel a lot more secure and at ease about using the product. The KardiaMobile is valuable to me for many reasons. One of which is that I had been diagnosed with âAFibâ (Atrial Fibrillation). After my initial diagnosis a few years ago, my AFib occurrences were less frequent and thankfully they resolved themselves within a few hours. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case, and thus my AFib episodes have become more concerning. These AFib episodes I have are now more frequent and last much longer than they have in my early stage of diagnosis. Unfortunately, I have other health issues that can otherwise confuse these AFib episodes.I am so thankful that this technologically advanced KardiaMobile is able to confirm my AFib and verify when I am back in sinus rhythm. I am so happy that I can just carry it in my wallet making it available to me everywhere. It also uses Bluetooth technology so I don't have to concern myself with any lack of wifi or bad cellular reception areas. Appreciatively, with regular use of this amazing tool I can see if there is a particular pattern to these episodes so that I can note any triggers that I may be able to avoid in the future. I now have a record of these events that can give my cardiologist a more accurate picture of what has been occurring, both in frequency & duration. Needless to say, the KardiaMobile is a valuable tool for me and has totally met my expectations and beyond!
