Power Unit for PREVAL Sprayer (12-Pack)

I received the Preval Sprayer Power Units in proper amount of time. They look just like the originals, which worked great. However, I have not used these yet to see if they work as well.

A good product for smaller repairs. Sprays like paint spray cans if mixed properly.

I usually buy these at O'Reilly paint dept - but I needed a large qty. for an exterior ornamental iron job. You should know - these have 'refrigerant' in them. They must be kept UPRIGHT. No telling how they get turned & rolled in shipping - but if you spray one and it spits & sputters that is usually the reason why. If you buy them in a paint dept - KEEP THEM UPRIGHT at all times. I've been using these for about 20 years or longer in my sign biz & anytime I have a small paint job - like under 3x4 ft for ex. I prefer to use to one of these than dragging out my compressor & large spray gun. As I mentioned - I had exterior ornamental iron to paint - 4 welcome signs located at 4 points on hwys thru a small town. I didn't have to load a generator, or compressor. And a large spray gun wastes a lot of expensive paint. I applied black automotive paint to all four ornamental signs using these sprayers which can get closer & tighter, and eliminate a lot of over spray. The glass jar holds about 2 pints. Each sprayer will spray roughly a quart. I premix the amount of paint & activator I know I'll need in a separate cup, then pour thru filter to fill the glass jar, screw on this propellant unit & go to work. If the unit is still half full when I'm done - I clean out the jar, & spray out laquer thinner till the sprayer sprays clear, then hit mineral spirits thru it one time. I leave the tube intact, unscrew it off the jar and stand it up in a clean cup. I turn the clean glass part upside down to store it. Tip: If a sprayer gets ice cold while spraying it's not empty - warm it with your hands or even a hair dryer & shake the glass/unit a little. You can tell when it's empty - it's much lighter, but the spray entirely fades away. This is the best item for touch ups & small jobs when you need a custom colour and/or want to use automotive paint.

Prevals are like an airbrush for painting. The first thing is shaking the sprayers a lot before you use them and run them through water until you get the sprayer to work. I love them

Was so easy nobody believes I, a 60yr woman with no auto painting experience, did it all by myself. Wish I could have showed pictures. I am even surprised I did it.
