It works... kinda
With much struggling, I was able to get the valves out of a twin cam head. Two problems... first off, the rivets are so tight, the mechanism is VERY stiff even when NOT compressing anything. I tried spray grease and running it through it's full range of motion a few dozen times... it didn't help. Secondly, the handles that run the mechanism are ridiculously short. I had to use a 15/16" combination wrench to provide enough leverage to compress the springs, even AFTER giving things a tap to free up the retainer locks. I think there are better choices out there.
