Nature's Way alpha betic, Diabetic Multivitamin for Daily Nutritional Support, with B-Vitamins for Energy Metabolism Support*, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Taurine, Lutein, 30 Tablets

I love these vitamins, there are just a couple things i don't like, but i wouldn't change that, it would lessen the quality of the vitamins. OK so the size is big! but don't let that scare you, i have a problem swallowing big pills, but these ones have a coating on them that make them go right down. This is how i take them, for anyone having problems taking any pills, i first swallow water alone, to moisten my throat, then i swallow the pill with a large amount of water. it goes down much smoother that way. OK so other thing is they smell and taste pretty awful, but it is only for a second then the water washes away the taste. the smell is all those lovely vitamins, and knowing they are potent by how strong the smell is, we can tell they are very fresh and very potent, i wouldn't want that changed either. I am starting to feel better like i have more energy. It does have a lot of vitamin B2. your pee will probably turn bright yellow/florescent yellow. all that is is the excess Vitamin B2. some people may need all that vitamin B2,others don't. But they add it in because so many diabetics do, and taking too much cannot hurt you. So you pee out the excess,So i am grateful that they are trying to give everyone the amount that they need. I really think they put so much thought into these vitamins, and even though they are a bit more expensive than the normal multi vitamin, i am willing to pay the price because it is reasonable and it is targeted support for diabetics.And from all my research about it, they included everything they could that would support diabetics while maintaining safety.I feel these are the best vitamins for diabetic people. I would recommend to any one.

This is an excellent vitamin for diabetic patients.

Overall this is a pretty good multivitamin and I would recommend it. However there are a few things to consider. If you do not have the ability to swallow large pills then these will not be for you. They are kinda like horse pills. Very large. The other thing to consider is how much B vitamin is in your diet currently. This multivitamin is very high in B Vitamins and if you have too much of it in your system it can damage you. If you are already getting plenty of your B's then you may want to reconsider. Aside of that they have an ok taste as well as texture. The smell is rather pleasant and I don't have issues taking them.

Update: 1/3/2026 I’ve been now taking these for over a year now and I like them a lot. I don’t have to worry about getting extra vitamin K from vitamins, which leaves me to be able to eat greens. I also think that they help slightly with my mood and body pain. I get blood work done every 3-4 mos. My levels of the important markers are always in range and that’s due to these vitamins. Being a diabetic, I think these are worth the money. If they go up in office, depending on how much they go up I would go with a different brand, but if they stay at this price, I will continue to buy them. First review: I take one 3-4 days a week. I haven’t had any negative side effects. I’ve only been taking them for approximately two weeks. They are really huge And they smell and taste awful; but none of that bothers me. I am able to swallow larger pills and I just ignore the smell and taste. I take it down with something flavorful.Update Update as of January 11, 2022. He’s vitamins are a lifesaver. They have given me so much more energy, completely help me with my fibromyalgia, and overall feel great. I buy these constantly and I will never not buy them until there’s a reason. I don’t take them every day. I take them 3 to 4 days a week. That is sufficient enough for me. I would advise anyone that’s diabetic or that needs some of the properties and vitamins and minerals in these vitamins, to try them at least one month.

These are my go to diabetic vitamins now! They have everything I need, including Alpha Lipo acid, which I also take another supplement for that. I love these vitamins!

Started taking this vitamin (alpha betic) when i needed to lose weight back in 2000 and it was one of the aids that helped get my sugar cravings in check and energy back. It is also one of the few vitamin supplements that has enough alpha lipoic acid in it to make a difference along with the correct form of chromium ( picolinate) You do not need to lose weight nor be a diabetic to get a lot of benefits from this vitamin supplement. I have urged friends with low energy to take it or just a bit more belly than they would like to have while also encouraging them to eat less sugar and flour.Every one of them take it religiously still because they FEEL a difference when they take it. Dose You can take it once a day in the a.m. like I do or break it in half and take a.m. and p.m. Also can take 2 a day in divided doses.You would not take more than 2 a day because of the chromium and selenium content If you are taking another supplement that contains chromium ,( GTF) or selenium ( many "diet"aids, esp cinnamon and garlic capsules sold to diabetics have it ) you need to check what doses are in any additional supplement, even herbs. Do not exceed 400 mcg of chromium a day for an example. Take a copy of the contents to your Dr or nutritionist along with your other supplements is suggested.

I'm I'm so sorry for this review! And, I'm a health and wellness nut, so I'm used to that "vitaminny smell"! But, this is terrible! Especially if you think it's going to go away after you've taken it and then you're talking to someone a few minutes later and you happen to burp and the smell is just so bad.
