Summer Fit, Fifth - Sixth Grade (Summer Fit Activities)

This is my son's favorite summer activity brand. He loves that it includes workout and history sections. Those arent found in some on the other activity books. We are buying the next grade up this year!!!

Excellent summer activity for my child

Especially in the reading comprehension sections, the questions ask for interpretation beyond the scope of what the articles discuss. It becomes an exercise in pure conjecture. The directions on math activities are sometimes incorrect or incomplete as well. I love the goal setting and focus on physical health, but I'll stick with my Evan Moor summer books in the future.

My son used Summer Fit Activities this past summer. He loved the daily fitness activities and the fitness log. Two pages a day was the perfect amount and he was thrilled that it covered all the subjects. I was amazed at the variety of skills covered. It helped me pinpoint areas for my son that might need more review. The character development pages and the summer explorer pages were fun for the whole family too. We will definitely continue using Summer Fit Activities!

I purchased this book over the summer for my son who was headed into 6th grade. It was a hit! The activities were fun and engaging and kept both son AND mom happy :) He was getting the practice he needed to keep up his school skills (especially math!) and I only had to motivate him to do two pages a day! Bonus points for a summer review book that is fun and does not cause whining! Thanks Summer Fit!

As a mother of 5 (with one on the way) we LOVE that we can count on Summer Fit books to get us through the summer with peace of mind knowing all the kids, ages 4-12 are getting what they need to stay healthy and smart! I especially like that there are lessons and readings on role models and people of virtue.

I have used these over the years with my boys and really liked them. This one was rough, though! There wasn't any example provided as review and many of the skills are not in alignment with Common Core. Some of the directions were also confusing- and I am an elementary school teacher! My son ended up skipping many pages, as they covered things he hasn't yet learned. (And I really didn't want to spend my summer home schooling.)
