I spend more time getting this thing unstuck than I ever spent mowing my lawn. I have a reasonable flat, a few bumps and grooves in the lawn but no big inclines.. it literally gets stuck on anything and everything.. all the time. Lawn a little wet (this is the uk here) it gets stuck.. the front caster wheels literally get driven into the ground by the mower, the rear wheels instantly get caked in mud of any description. As you can see from the picture, I have tried to level areas.. and it still gets stuck. Just an expensive bright orange garden paper weight.

Took me about an hour to install the wire round the lawn and a couple of days tweaking the wire, now it works perfect. Cuts every day without fail, been set up for a good month now and not missed a cut. The rain function is very good as it delays the cut if the weather is bad. Also avoids objects on the lawn such as the kids toys. Only negative point is I have a raised bed and it leaves about 2 inch as doesn't cut to edge of the machine.

Easy to setup but the recommended 30 cm from edges when installing the wire is too much I would 1/2 that distance or you will have too much long grass round edges. The app needs a lot of work. Crashes a lot when trying to add a schedule so using manually for now. Also on 1st cut I recommend high cut setting And lower in stages I used mid to low and lawn is too short and now turning yellow poor judgment on my part.

We had to return our first 300RBS, as there was no power to the charging station. This was possibly just an issue with the power cable but it's worth noting that the cable cannot be replaced or bought separately. When we received our replacement 300RBS, the charging station worked fine. However, despite our lawn only have a very minor gradient (to help with drainage - like many do) the mower repeatedly gets stuck. Rather than correcting it's course when this happens, the mower remains in one place with the continuing to spin, which churns up the lawn. Although, the 300RBS cut the grass evenly (in the main - not the edges), we now have over a dozen bald patches, where the unit got stuck and churned the lawn.

I've set this thing up exactly as per the instructions and it's awful. It goes over the boundary wire at some point (always varies), hasn't once attempted to cut the grass in the middle (sticks to the boundary always), doesn't always return to the base, scrapes over the wooden sleepers & brick wall despite the boundary being further away than recommended. It hasn't once done what it's supposed to. The customer service for yardforce (yardforce support email returns as metrotec.eu) is non existent & only refers you to the troubleshooting guide online. I hope I'm just really unlucky & if I return for another then I'll get one that works. Now I have to pull all the wire up, try to re-pack everything and return it to Amazon and hope I get it sorted. Shame because it was so promising.

After a week of struggle and chatting to their support, I have packed it up, and sending it back. Almost entirely useless. I have a flat square lawn with no holes. It only ever mowed one spot and did that badly.
