Great replacement. Mine came with wing-nuts, I like that. Has a cap for the ends which gives it a clean look.

Very nice replacement hold downs. I ordered the 8 inch for my 2001 Honda Odyssey and it fit good.

Hooked it up to my car and my battery stays in place as it should

After replacing my car battery with an shorter-height aftermarket (Odyssey) battery, I found the OEM J-bolts were technically a little overlength. This wouldn't be a problem, except that the OEM J-bolts are only threaded a short length down from the top, so I couldn't run the nuts down far enough to firmly clamp down the battery strap. These aftermarket J-bolts address the problem quite well. They are a bit longer than the OEM bolts, so I cut them down by an inch and cleaned up the cut ends to prevent hood interference. While they do respond to a magnet, they are definitely stainless. I took the leftover scraps from cutting them short and dropped them in a bottle of saltwater to see how they held up. They've been in there for over a week now without even flash rust developing on the cut surface (which I never repassivated). They're probably ferritic stainless steel--a somewhat harder form of stainless steel commonly used in automotive applications. Ferritic stainless steel responds to a magnet but still has excellent corrosion resistance.

These work fine, just a lot cheaper than the original ones, but do the job
