Milton's Secret: An Adventure of Discovery through Then, When, and the Power of Now

5 y/o son stayed tuned in for the whole story. He has referenced what he learned in the book multiple times already -- and I learned a new mindfulness technique, myself! It was more than I expected, as far as the artwork, the message being made so kid-friendly, the story being easily followed by my son. I have recommended this book to several people already because of how valuable I found it to be. Based on the kids I know, I'd guess this would be a good book for 5-9 yrs. And for grownups ;)

Although this book is a bit lengthy, even my 4 year old granddaughter stayed with it and its meaning. Which is... how to deal with stressful situations and how to avoid anxiety. This is fundamental for today's kids as they deal with bullying and difficult to handle situations. What else would you expect from Eckhart Tolle, though. He is an amazing spiritual teacher.

I have sent The Power of Now to about 25 people so far, drop-shipping from Amazon. I bought the book when I was looking for other titles from Eckhart Tolle. I have read his Power of Now about 30 times, and listened to it (cassettes) about 50 times, and I also bought his second book, A New Earth, that talks more about ego - about what blocks the awareness that he is striving to help us develop.So this book is a simple, nice way to introduce a child to the concept of living more in the moment, and not living in constant fear of the uncertain future.

A wonderful tale by Eckhart Tolle, the way he marvellously and so clearly expresses sometimes what is considered a difficult concept and renders it pristine clear to children to whom it aims. The drawings by Robert S. Friedman are absolutely beautiful and extremely appealing. Eckhart teaches "The Power of Now" to kids. Our kids of today who will be the women and men of a better tomorrow, answering our most hopeful wishes and those of the majority of human kind's !

Recently my nine-year-old son has begun exhibiting OCD behavior, specifically excessive hand washing and fear of germs. I had him read this book one day when he was having an anxiety spike and it helped him to calm down. It obviously didn't cure him or end all his perceived problems, but it did help him in that moment and I think will continue to as he reads it again. He even used what he had learned in the book later in the week to help calm himself down when he began to get anxious over something else. It is an excellent book for introducing children to the power of now and I would recommend it to anyone, anxiety issues or not.

This is a lovely book that a teacher introduced in second grade and some of the kids like my daughter loved it. It is written very carefully addressed to children, but people of any age can enjoy it because of the deep sense of humanity in it. The illustrations are beautiful, as well and this is my second copy. We gave our copy in Spanish as a gift to a friend whose son suffered from bullying and we could not find another copy until now. Very recommended for teachers and parents, and for everyone who enjoys reading.

Interesting to read for the new generation

Fantastic book for Kids an me! Purchased for my 7 year old daughter and she loved to try an experience the Now. She also loves, "When and Then are in your head. They are not here Now!"

This story gives an insight into a simple truth: that so much of what we worry about is in our heads. Our thoughts take us all over there and then, while so often our here and now is actually peaceful and safe. We get so busy worrying we get to be unable to calm down, not even to sleep, let alone to face or fears and have insights into overcoming them.

Great little book to introduce children to the deeper realities of existence at an early age ! All mine have read it and hopefully the seeds of enlightenment have been sown which will greatly benefit them and all all around them

Not compatible with my kindle, it is not possible to read some pages. Letter size keeps on changing and the one integrated in drawings are too small

Ich bin über die Indiegogo Kampagne für den Film zu Milton's secret [...] erst auf das Buch aufmerksam geworden. Mir gefällt die kindgerechte Aufbereitung des Themas Achtsamkeit sehr gut in diesem Buch und ich werde es meinen Kindern in spe auf jeden Fall oft als Betthupferl vorlesen :)
