It can be done in a couple of minutes. The filtration system’s longevity depends on how often you use it. My family use it most of the time from drinking supply to cooking, thus the filter lasts for about 1 yr and 5 months before we changed it. You won’t smell any foul odor on your drink. You’ll only kinda smell or taste foul taste when you need to change the filter already.
