angle guide is as advertised.
chose this one for the number of tapped holes in front plate. good call.as pictured. nice piece of machining considering the ridiculously low price. hardware is decent quality, aluminum is well finished, thread taps are clean.slight gap on the tack weld holding the truss for the angle adjusting thread rod to the base plate. doesn't affect function. slight wobble of angle adjusting thread rod in truss, fixed easily by adding standard nuts to rod in front of and behind truss.

Useful jig, once you figure out how to set it up
Once you figure out how to set it up, this is a useful jig that will help knifemakers grind bevels on their blades. One drawback is that the knob/screw that adjusts the bevel angle does not lock, so the screw will turn in or out because of the vibration of the grinder. I installed wingnuts and lock-washers on either side of the bevel-adjustment screw so that I could lock the bevel-adjustment screw in place once I have the angle set where I want it. No reason to make your own. This works perfectly.
Takes a little bit of getting used to, but definitely provides a better profile on my blades. Great value great quality. I couldn’t make one as convenient as this for the price I paid to just purchase. Highly recommend recommended.

It's ok.
It works but is a little jinky to get it right. Not that easy to get a knife on it in a stable way. A little on the small size.

Works decent on bigger knives
I would not purchase this jig again. It's built pretty good but it's difficult to maneuver when trying to sharpen smaller knives. Not the easiest thing to use for sharpening small knives. I think you would get better value out of a whetstone or being able to do it by hand.

Good enough
For the price this is the best deal on amazon, but it shows in the fit and finish and lack of any instructions.Lots of the chamfer on the screw holes is poorly done and some screws don't thread easily. I got an uneven number of screws, not sure if I'm missing one.It is aluminum and the angle adjustment screw is steel and will bore a hole through it, so you either need to add a soft end or round it with a file.It may require some fiddling with to be perfect, but for the price it can't be beat.
