If there was less than 1 star it deserves it. The one I ordered was on their profile, whatever delivered was the opposite it was cut in half inches, they promised 5 but delivered 2 in quantity cut in half size, it was not near fresh all was gone bad. I am not recommending anyone to buy it.

It would be better to get 1 stalk cut it in half and to send both halves. I have to cut so much of the wax off that there is very little left to eat. It also makes the cane harder to peel when the pieces are so little.

***** COCKTAIL TIP AT END OF REVIEW!I contacted the seller and asked for a couple for planting, and they were awesome, they provided budding sticks and were flat out amazing at that.I'm new to Sugarcane, so I'm not going to comment too much on how long they last. (Had to throw a couple away but that was after a week.)---- You might want to ask them to dip the ends in wax to help preserve it during shipping.They come in a non-cooled container, with packing peanuts, mine arrived with a little bit of mold on the end of most of them but after cutting it so much more of it was juicy and tasty with only about 10% waste!Please keep in mind, the mold could have been due to the darkness and exposure during shipping. They shipped from Florida where I live in Kansas, so it took a couple days to ship, it's a natural product so if you live closer I'm sure you will have more crisp cane, farther out you might want to research ways to preserve it and ask them to help you out. (Easiest is wax or just simple wrap.)Either way I'd highly suggest this product and really like this seller. I will most likely get it from them again, cut most of it up and store it as soon as I get it next time.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Buying note: Green is sweeter, Red is more rounded, both equally as good..************************************************************************************The best way to enjoy this in an adult manner besides chewing is use the following:*** Cocktail tip.-Cut up some sticks into fair sized chewable pieces. and wrap for storage.-Fill glass with nice dark rum, straight, (I used Bacardi Oakheart.)-Add a couple pieces of SugarCane-- Note: As you sip and stir the sugarcane absorbs the rum so that when you finish your drink take a bite of that sugarcane and it's a magical mix of oak and rum flavor and a nice finish that both allows you to fully taste the rum's more subtle flavors while still being sweet enough to enjoy without the kick.

I received this cane fast, way ahead of my estimated delivery time! I even got some extra cane. In total I received six cane pieces. Each one had at least two nodes of which new plants will grow and the roots were already starting to come out of the cane slightly. They looked very healthy. I was worried that I would receive the wrong cane or bad cane, but mine was better than expected! Can’t wait to try some cane and I think the red cane looks great!

None of these sprouted. I have sprouted a lot of plants including sugar cane. Sadly not a single sprout from these.

Fast Delivery, and they shipped one extra one. Thanks but only 3 out of 6 took on roots and started growing. I tried just water and in dirt but only 3.
