The only thing I would say is that when it first arrived some of the pages were missing and in the wrong order. It was fine though because I contacted desertcart and they sent me a new one. I find that the aesthetics of a revision guide is so important and this one does not disappoint. But it's not just the aesthetics, the content is amazing. This is probably the best revision guide I have ever bought for any subject. It has all the different AOs and includes not only analysis and summaries of scenes and characters, but it also contains context, criticism, links to other texts, how directors have interpreted it and much more. There is also a very useful guide on how to write essays at the back of the book. I would definitely recommend this book; I just wish they had guides for the other texts I am reading for A Level. Review: I teach A-Level English literature and have purchased what books I can so that I can make appropriate recommendations for my students (I try to encourage them to read books rather than just browse the internet). This book is tailored wonderfully for the new A-Level specifications and even boasts a useful 'progress booster' section that offers guidance on different types of question formats (this depends on the exam board/specification, but this book isn't aimed at one particular specification) and some annotated sample answers. I remember using the York Notes books to revise when I was a student and while they were informative they were not the most visually appealing of books (some may say this is a trivial matter, but they are commonly used as revision books after all); however, the new design is much more impressive- the books are now A4 size with colour pages throughout. I must say that I am very impressed with the detail in this book and will be encouraging my students to purchase their own copies for revision purposes.

Bought this as a gift to help a friend who is studying Othello for their English literature A-level. It contains all the information you could possibly wish for in order to excel at this text in your essays and exams. It breaks everything down into easily understandable parts and guides you as to what the examiner is looking for in your exam answers. It also puts Othello into its historical context with a bit of background, which helps one to understand the play much better. I can only wish I had had this book back when I was studying Othello for A-Level 20 years ago! I so enjoyed leafing through this book it almost made me want to do it all over again.
