An inspiring book written by those who know Mr. Munger the best, his family, his friends, and his partners.
You should not buy this book if you are looking for the newest fad on stock picking or a 'how to' guide for making money. No book can pick stocks for you, but there are many for sale if you want to buy one.Study this book if you are interested in the character, discipline, focus, thought processes, and wit Charlie Munger and those closest to him. This is a wonderful biography of an important and admirable man, written from many perspectives. It is funny, touching, thoughtful, honest and truly well done. It leaves you with a desire to read or re-read books from every topic ranging from thermodynamics to psychology. This book truly leaves you wanting more, and that is the most powerful sentiment that a book can leave a reader.

This book is special. It's hard to put it otherwise.
I spent a week with this book (around the average time for me reading most >300 page books) and I've never felt less awkward about carrying a book around bigger than my head and reading it on public transit, nor have I ever felt more in the loop on little-known information/ esoteric secrets. I wish I had read this book much, much earlier. It's opened my mind to the possibilities of information cross-application and has put me on a new vector on my lifelong learning journey, with new goals and methods along the way. It's also given me a much clearer idea of how to view humans (myself included) in their decision making and general behaviors. I would recommend this book for anyone who can use it.

RMisdom on Poor Charlie's Almanack
Read much of the book this week preceding Christmas 2005, pausing to read several reviews herein. Great lessons, presented in earnest, worth every dollar, however, only to he who truly reads with focused abandon. I believe Goethe said something like Truth Only Is Known By The Minority...explaining why some readers will not get it. I agree with most of Buffet-Mungerisms...only question I would ask is why not a single quotation from any translation of The Holy Bible? Great addition to thoughtful library quite equal to Franklin's Original Autobiography.

Great advice from Munger
Great advice, although it's a little dated and therefore doesn't contain some of his newest advice. The pictures and annotations with this book are stupid though, and we could all do with just the content

Must Read
This book is just awesome. Every marketer should have it. Learning and understanding the 25 cognitive biases alone are worth 100 times what I paid for the book. This is one of the top books on marketing I've ever read, bar none...

Abridged Edition of poor Charlie's Almanack
I gave this as a present to my son, who had requested it. HE told me he had read it and it was what he thought it would be. My son is normally not much of a reader so I know he found this book helpful.
