First of all, it was my mistake to have lost the original battery pack which I had only used once in the three months after I purchased the (fantastic) air compressor. So, I purchased a replacement battery pack and immediately connected my charger to it. The battery pack should have charged within an hour, but after several hours it had not progressed past one (green) level of charge. Customer support from AstroAl is nonexistent. Amazon was great in listening to my complaint and they issued a refund to me. Thank you, Amazon. However, I’m still without a battery pack and I’m hesitant to try ordering again I. For twice the cost of a battery pack replacement, I could just as easily replace the whole air compressor, but what a waste of money. Yes, the compressor did come with a plug-in the cigarette lighter attachment, but it takes for ever to inflate a slightly low tire (while running the engine) and it failed to stop inflating once it reached full pressure. In fact, it over inflated several psi’s past the pressure mark shown on the gauge. I had to let air out of the tire. So, the battery pack is the better option, provided it can be charged.UPDATE: I took the chance and ordered a second time. This time the battery pack arrived and it was just a few minutes of charging and it was ready to go! I would give it a 5 star, except for receiving a dud the first time.
