I like it, its wayyyy better than scrolling on youtube

We often ask absurd hypothetical questions and are left unsatisfied with the answers given. This book, however contains most of the hypothetical question we often ask to ourselves and the author has explained the answers with scientific background such as what if humans disappear, or how many humans does a dinosaur need to eat in order to survive and so on. Definitely worth buying.

It's a good read and a fitting sequel to the first book. Waiting for another version. Better get the ebook though

I've been reading XKCD comics and What Ifs for a few years now because of how captivating Randall Munroe's work is and this book is no exception. It's a collection of well executed thought experiments with a keen sense of humor that results in a really entertaining and insightful book, I heavily recommend it.

I stumbled across xkcd when I was studying engineering in college. I delayed many homework assignments working through the backlog. I started reading the what if blog from the beginning. Randall Munroe has a way with words, and a way with numbers. Seeing him applying many of the very concepts and technical I was studying in school in creative and unusual ways while having fun with the process was a very enlightening experience compared to the generally dry and dull approach in most textbooks. Come to think of it Munroe textbooks would probably be a game changer.It's fun. It's sciency. It's a great book.

It's fun and you learn several interesting things

Randall Munroe must spend a LOT of time doing the research for these books. Some of the questions in this edition are pretty far out, but Munroe comes up with mostly serious answers that lead to some very incredible situations! It's all good!
