Wilton Large Aluminum 3D Book Cake Pan, Silver, Aluminum

Perfect for my birthday book club party! Excuse the writing. My original idea failed & I had to improvise. I used 3 Duncan Hines strawberry box cake mixes & I think I baked it at 400 degrees for 1 hour. It turned out great!

I still have this years later well made served it's purpose

The pan worked great and was easy to use, my only complaint is that the pan itself was bent up and kinda beat up around the edges, but the box it came in was not beat up. It didn't hurt the outcome of my cake thank the Lord, b/c I didn't have time to return the pan and order a new one. The cake came out great tho.

It's a good size cake and it will be great for the harry potter cake my grandaughter wants. My only issue is that it has a slight dent in it but I can work with that. It is a great value for the money

I love this pan! A family member is having a baby shower, and I was asked to make the cake. She really wanted the Wilton open Book style pan. I was happy to find it on Amazon for $18, since it seems to be discontinued in the stores. It is supposed to be a 2-mix pan, but the directions clearly state that you need to use 3 cake mixes. I took 3 cakes mixes, and I mixed them individually, then poured each one into the pan. The recipe also states that you bake the cake on the 3rd rack from the bottom.. but you should always bake a cake in the middle rack of your oven, that is properly calibrated. The temperature should be 350. It took my almost exactly 70 minutes to bake this cake. The recipe says 60-70. I checked it after 60. There wasnt much to shave off the top either, which was nice. I got nothing but positive reviews on my cake.

When I bought this pan, I was a little concerned about the cake sticking, but it did not. The cake came out beautifully!! Overall, I am very happy with the quality of this and will definitely be using it a lot.

Makes a good size cake and the impression comes out well. I had to use three cake mixes and it was just right. It did take a long time to cook all the way through but I didn't have too much trouble with dried out edges. It is a must to make sure its well coated before putting the cake mix in so it doesn't stick. The metal is thin for my taste so make sure when stored its not at the bottom of the pile.

I was a little hesitant to buy this pan after so many reviews said it came dented, but that was not the case for me. No problems at all, and it doesn't feel any more flimsy than any other character or shaped cake pan you would buy. I used the Wilton Bake Easy spray on it and my gluten free cake came out in the perfect shape! Definitely recommend!

This cake tin is large and perfect if you are baking for a crowd. I used if for making carrot cake and doubled my normal recipe (which if for a round cake tin with a diameter of 26 cm). I lined the cake tin with baking parchment and it was no problem getting the cake out of the mould. If you are after a book shaped cake tin, this is a good choice.
