I have been looking for a good weighted eye mask for a while. I have struggled to find a weighted mask that is heavy enough to provide pressure but not so heavy that it hurts my eyes. I have found that most one will put too much pressure on my eye itself which is not comfortable. I get headaches and end up normally sleeping with a pillow over my eyes to give weight and block out the light.This is the first time I have found an eye mask that works for me. The nod pod is a lighter weight than some other weighted eye masks and so I was initially worried that it wouldn't be heavy enough but it ended up being perfect. I love that it can be washed. I put it in the freezer the other day and it was just the right amount of cold which gave me relief but wasn't so cold to hurt my eyes.One thing that surprised me is the way that it is designed when you sleep on your back you get the weight on your face but also you can feel light pressure on the side of your heads - which worked great for me. It works great for side sleeping as well which is a nice bonus since it gives you more options when you sleep.The light weight nature of it will also make it great for traveling

The nodpod puts the weights right on the eyelids. Not overbearing, just super comfortable and soothing. Luckily, I don't usually have problem falling asleep. The slightly added weigh and blocking out of lights help me fall asleep even faster.I love that it's machine washable and dryable. Seems good quality. No straps so nothing is in my way when I sleep on myside. I read in other review that there is a warm side for the winter and a cool side for the summer, which is an unexpected feature. The product has no smell at all which is great. I assume people can put essential oils on it if desired.I've bought another type of weighted eye mask that looks like a regular sleeping mask, but about an inch bigger in the circumference, with the weighted materials surrounding the outside rims, i.e. nothing touching the eyelids. That didn't do anything for me. Maybe that's to reduce eyebags or something for others.

I wear eye masks to keep my eyes closed at night. If they crack open while I sleep, my eyes dry out and I have a hard time opening them.I have tried so many different sleep masks, but have two quibbles with most of them: the straps cut into the ear, and they usually have velcro closures that wear out.This mask is very different. It has four weighted pods, designed for you to pop one end under your head as you sleep on your side, and then toss the mask across your eyes and over your ear on the other side. The first two of the four pods would be over your eyes, and the other two across your head, with the weight helping to keep it in place.I am entirely too restless for that to work for me, so I use the absolutely ingenious little slot to stuff one end into the other. It is tight enough that it stays put, but it does not bunch up so you can actually lie on your back.I have used this for quite a while now, with no sign of it wearing out. However, I am buying another one today, just in case I lose it or I stretch that closure hole all out of shape.My only wish would be for a two-pod version. I always tie it on my head, so the extra pods end up just in front of my ears. This is not as uncomfortable as it sounds, since I have combined it with a MyPillow, which just squishes out of the way. Still, I have considered opening a seem and draining the sand from the outer pods.So if they would make a two-pod version, I would happily buy it.

I have a neck and shoulder wrap filled with buckwheat that I have used for years and recently had started rolling it up and putting it over my eyes. I liked the weight on my eyeballs as it helped me to relax. I knew I didn't want an eyemask that had an elastic band because it makes an indentation in my hair and it also gives me a headache. I was attracted to this Nodpod because it just lays across your face. While it doesn't seem very heavy there is enough pressure that is relaxing. It even worked while reclining in a recliner. If you don't want to tuck the end in the button hole, then just tuck it behind your head. Very comfortable. The only thing that would make it better is if it was microwaveable.

I can no longer sleep without this. I am so sensitive to light when I'm trying to fall asleep and SO much light streams through my window and cracks of my door (if roomies are up-which is frequent) in my apartment. I used to sleep with pillows covering my face, but that always made my acne flare up. This sleeping mask is the best upgrade ever because normal ones with the strap on the back of my head give me headaches and make my eye/eyebrow muscles tense up. The quality is amazing and there are no weird smells. As a certified stomach sleep it's so easy to adjust the NodPod to make it conducive to whatever positioning you're in. The purple color is SO pretty I love it. Only issue I've had with it is that the beads in it kind of shift and clump into one "pod" which creates uneven pressure on my eyes. It doesn't both me too much, but I wish the seams in between were stronger (the only reason it's getting 4 stars instead of 5). At the end of the day though it is super easy to use and helps me fall asleep so much faster than the methods I had been trying.

After discovering what joy it feels to have such a restful night sleep, wake up not groggy with brain fog (disclosure, I do take melatonin and magnesium) I decided to take a chance on this. I bought one for my son and his wife. I bought another one for my other son. To discribe it, the cloth is the softest velvet which feels luxurious - it’s a gentle pressure across the eyes, it’s just so soothing and relaxing. Blocks out any kind of crack of light you might experience, which is so distracting. I’ll never live without one again! For travel, I’m wondering if there is a way to wash this in the washing machine.
